Someone hit me up here when I signed up what do I have in my skateboard collection, so here's my skateboard collection. I skated from '82 to '91, but none of my boards survived. Most of my collection I bought starting in '98, and then I hooked up working with Tony Hawk on his skate park tours, that explains all the Hawk decks, most I got from him personally. I haven't bought any decks lately, starting in '02-'03, deck collecting was starting it's boom, and prices sky rocketed, so most of my money goes to toys now, So I hope you enjoy the pic's. ( sorry for the crappy photo's, they were taken with a regular camera, didn't have digital at the time, got them in storage now )
cool, where did you skate?? I grew up in the Carson area, so we skated mostly around there and Redondo Beach area.
Wow man, great collection of decks! Much respect! I've been skating since around 13 yrs old and am 27 now... but between the job, the house, and wifey, not too much skating going on these days. Kind of died down over the last year or so. I got a chance yesterday to hop on my board and skate for a few hours, and damn, I'm really hoping to find time at least once or twice a week to get back into it. I'd really love to find the original Tom Penny "Mushroom" deck by Flip to hang up in my loft. They re-issued it in a slightly different colorway a few years back... but I'd kill for the OG. That was my first deck ever... with some Gullwing trucks... and I think Ghetto Child wheels.
my humble collection.... different boards for different moods.... up until I left home at 17...I kept every deck that I broke or used up...wish I still had them...seven years worth of daily skating...some classics in there...
