Niiiiiice... Hey, waitagoldarn minute...I'm lookin' up at my printer and Lo and behold, those same two Yira's ---WTF??! I thought I was the only one who dug those little guys ( and don't they feel like maces in the hand ?! ). They seem unappreciated and cheap by comparison and rather cheap for such a cool figure. Your thoughts?

And I've got one of those Bees ( the one with four arms ) just begging to be made a custom. Since I'm a newby, tell me what gun you used, what paint you shot, and how'd you mask?

I've also been thinking of adding some custom touches to Yira. You ever come up with any ideas on that? I thougt of ghosting the black with some GID.

I don't know if I'd call them "little guys" but I do love my yiras. I've always been a fan of dragons and that sculpt is just a really cool take on it. As for cheapness, I definitely wouldn't say they feel cheaply made compared to other kaiju, they're some pretty solid guys. I'd guess it's the numbers that make the yiras cheaper than most, but it's hard to say and I don't really care, cause I like that they're very affordable.

I use a Badger 360 universal airbrush. It's not the best, but it works and I got it for free XD. I really only masked the joints so they wouldn't get paint in them and make it tough to put the guys back together. I used Tamiya acrylics, which I like, but if you ask just about anyone else they'll tell you to try out Vcolor.

I hadn't really thought about painting my yiras, but seeing as they are so cheap I just might buy another to vandalize.

Now I didn't mean cheap as in quality---they are well-made, even though the GID's are a litle uneven in thickness. And since I got to snag some I'm glad they're aren't as insane as a LOT of the other pieces. I'm still in shock as to how MUCH some of these lil fellers trade hands for!
I'm looking around to do some customs, but balk at paying $80-90 bucks only to find out I've gobbed up a paint job!! But the Yira's are something I've not seen anyone customize---so it could be a good place to start, eh?

    Thanks for the info,
    Chris
