Wow thats a really good colorway for him! I still hope for a purple or teal (or both on one). Or they could always color him like Shockaract: http://tfu.info/2000/Predacon/Shokaract/shokaract.htm
I'd love to see you're take on him! Sadly I lack airbrush skills (and an airbrush..) and sofubi really looks best when non brush painted. That and I'd be nervous trying to customize a 200$ toy
These toys always strike me like theyre from those wall mount displays on any big toys store in japan. Namely the ultraman displays were you can pretty much go an pick up any monster from the lineup. Cool colors on the cobraman as well.
The pose(especially the arms) of the new Negora is great. I also love the simplicity and creepiness of Poodra's smile. These were an easy decision. Does anyone know if these are the same size as the Mecha Negora or is thus a new even smaller set of sculpts? I ask because Mecha Negora looks to be the same.
"This represents but a small sample of what is to come from the Monster Boogie team and Max Toy ! This set contains 7 micro figures. You get a newly resculpted and designed Mecha Nekoron MK-1, a Nise Nekoron ( it's the mecha dude but with cat outfit on ! ), Cat Kaiju Nekoron, Dino Saikobi, City Building, and Gas Tank. As an added bonus a free Touma - Poodra figure !! Sold as a set only. All figures sculpted by Makino-san of TTToy , planning by Yo Miyamoto and cast / made in Japan."
I saw a sample of the painted Cobra Ningen in One-Up's case this week. It is really well-done. I think if you like the style and painting of Dream Rocket's older releases, you will like this one as well.
He's more kaijin than kaiju, so I would've expected something like Cobra Ningen from Yamomark, but he's pretty groovy regardless of who makes him. The thing I like the most is the paint on his back: the subtle dark upside-down "V" shaped patches look fantastic. Very snakelike!
I thought he looked like a Super Sentai villain. Dream Rockets painted Zanga was rumored, but I can't find the proof (tweet?)
