    There are several more.
These painted Miboras are pretty cool.
    Especially the black TO classic!

the painting look way to classic to be customs...I mean, they are just done in the same way than the zag : simple, 2 or 3 colors...

so I am crossing my finger that these figures are just the prototypes of the future releases...

This, to say that : I WANT A TO MIBORAS !!!!!!

I think the name is clever. [Mi] = 3 (i.e., 3 eyes) + [Bora] from Aboras.

A lot of the Gargamel names seem to have hidden meanings... some I can't figure out. I think Rokuron is a play on Goro- "Go" is 5 and "Roku" is 6, so instead of [Go] + [Ro], you have [Roku] + [Ro] from Goro + [N] (sort of the differentiating character, like Zagora vs. Zagoran). This is all just speculation on my part.

I like this one since it is really a "Zokki" kaiju- not a miniaturized vintage no-name toy, or a design riff on a bootleg.

They're all cool! This thing has so much potential, really glad to see some more standard from Garg. I wish they'd do a clear painted Bakos now.

Looks like TO has a kicking old stock sale going on anyway, wish I could get in on some of that sweetness.

I thought "Zokki" meant bootleg or ripoff? I've honestly never done any hard research, I just remember someone mentioning it on the board.

I thought it was a design rip off an existing figure.

I sort of wish it just had the 2 eyes. The picture of the green/pink sprayed one on white/GID base whose head is cut off in the picture makes me think it would look much cleaner. It is interesting how the tongue throws off the symmetry.

Zokki does mean bootleg. But I see this guy as an actual 'bootleg' by Gargamel of Aboras, whereas most of the other Zokki toys were derived from existing patchi-kaiju toys. So they were like a bootleg of a bootleg.

Nice.. That's something I never even considered but is cool. Sort of like...T9G. (As mentioned before I always thought it was literally T-9-G but it's actually pronounced Ta+ku ("ku" as in the number 9) +Ji
    Ta-Ku-Ji

Wow! These painted versions look fantastic! Seeing the painted ones with the green Rokuron might just be an indication of what's coming. I hope...

Does anyone know how much those customs sold for?
I can't stop looking at 'em...these differentiate themselves so nicely from the more comical Zag & Bako heads, yet at the same time, the crazy tongue gives them that same whimsical flare. Fantastic, just fantastic.

So were these customs released at a particular event held at TO? Or just with the new releases?

They look awesome. The GID with the solid eyes esp.

Totally true. The swapped head is more than just a nod to the original vinyl, it was also true of the costume used on the original show. Its become a common riff in the history of Ultra Kaiju. Here are a couple of small toys jamming on the riff.

This set of small toys were all versions of Ultra Props. Notice the 2 versions of the Red King head and Aborus head on the single body.

This toy is from a recent series of 'What if' battle scene dioramas.

The miboras in the pic are one-offs that were soldout.
Hence, i think it is unlikely there will be a general release of any of these colourways in the near future. There were two other colourways but i think these three featured are the top picks. The clear pink and GID seem to be the statement pieces but I always like the classic TO.

I respect what gargamel is doing and i also think they are doing the right thing.

They believe that the mibora is not in line with their original concept of zokki kaiju series and held on to that original believe.
Therefore despite the apparent popularity and overwhelming positive fan responses going on now, there seem to be no immediate plans to have general releases on this guy. Shows great character for a company to do this instead of cashing in immediately while the its hot.

    Thanks for the info maxaltoman.

Hmmm...Just speculating...so these one-off customs were perhaps old test shots on pink clear, glow & black vinyl that Gargamel decided to customize and sell with their newest releases? It seems odd to bring them out and even include them in their LBs and NOT be planning some sort of release. Well, Garagmel is the best imo and I look forward to what they do with this guy regardless of when or what their release plans are.

Other than the unpainted black and the clear w/gold flakes, were there any other version in this year's lucky bags?

If Garg doesn't release one of these guys I'll have major toy-blue-balls (pardon my crudeness.) I can respect a company doing what they wanna do, but all they're doing with this, assuming it never gets a normal run, is teasing a bunch of us. Why even put these protos out in that case? Not to I FART A LOT and moan, just saying, it's frustrating fans and collectors more than it's doing anything, again assuming that's what happens. Who knows, maybe they'll make a gajillion of them??!?

    Dear Gargamel,

PLEASE release this dude to the public! Even if you need to make a new body and NOT count it as part of your "Zokki" line and it'd take a year or 2 to drop it, as long as it's done because it is FANTASTIC. Also release a clear based full sized Bakos, perhaps in that lovely clear vinyl w/gold flake?

    Love - Me
