Re: speaking of M1..... Doesn't look like it, but I do know someone in your geographic area who actually has a glow tower for sale (giant size Bullmark Godzilla included, hint hint). Yes. I was told that in some cases they used a pantographing process to do so, for others they actually made a duplicate casting of the original toy out of a special material and then applied a chemical to it to shrink it down, creating new tooling off of that. They used the same techniques to make the Bandai Soul of Bullmarks and Marusan's 2/3 scale reissue (which will probably display nicely with these). I think making these is a smart decision. The collectibles market is hurting badly over there and offering smaller, less expensive figures of licensed characters in a genuine "MaruBuru" style will appeal to a lot of kaiju collectors.
Re: speaking of M1..... I think a White Manna run is in order! Burgers are on me, don't forget the Goji! Nevermind the Japanese collectible market, my display space is hurting badly, so smaller figures are always welcome.
Re: speaking of M1..... Here at the New Jersey Daikaiju Institue of Dorkly Studies (NJDIDS) we have been conducting intensive around the clock studies of these new Mothra Larvae sculpts from M1-GO. Through our rigorous examinations (mostly involving a couple of Mothra DVDs and some beers) we have determined that the bent larva seems to represent the first appearance of Mothra in the 1961 film Mothra. The other sculpt seems to match the appearance of the "twin" larvae in the 1964 epic, Godzilla vs. Mothra. The difference is in the shape of the head sculpt. Here is the trailer for the original Mothra film. It's packed with Mothly goodness! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=524OaWqV ... r_embedded
Re: speaking of M1..... Seeing as how no one has mentioned these: Saw these two and a bunch more on the m1go site today. Looks like they're being paired with another mini for a m1 egg set and sold through Beams. Previously I desired the Tokyo Hedorah, now I really want both since a Hawaiian has been released. I really wish someone had one already so I could see size comparison. Also saw that the polar borer got a GID release for SF52. These look really cool, kind of want both!:
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) Last Dino was not on hand at the show, you had to pay and they will send it later. And yes, each Beams egg will come with a middle size and a mini.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) These look great, but I wish they chose different minis. Your Tsuburaya is in my Toho, and it's not a great taste!
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) Are those minis or the new mid-size? Either way, they're way awesome - but too small.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) Those dinosaurs are so nice. There was a recent MG in a color scheme to match the green GID dino. Very eyecatching.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) I forgot one otheer awesome point, more eggs!!! I think I will fill one case with just empty eggs.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) i love teh minis, i want them all. is this the first gezora mini? now where to find is the question.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) The Gezora is the new middle size sculpt, i think this is the second release. Love the colours on the Gomess mini.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) lot of new m1's coming over the next few months. some will be very cool.
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) Can't wait... Mike (or anyone else in-the-know), do these guys actually come with the Polar Borer?
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) the GID dinosaurs do not come with the little ship, just the creature. we will be ordering the egg sets for s7, if interested, drop me an email - josh@super7store.com
Re: speaking of M1.....(more m1!) Seeing the eggs: Since M1Go puts out alot of 'tribute' figures, are the eggs of Bullmark origin? Or are they strictly an M1Go thang?
