New Restore Resins!

Very talented. I love a solid opaque resin. It really shows off a good sculpt.

 

I am pretty sure it is a Klansman. I don't think it was done with any racist intent but it seems that some of Restore's resins are a bit "controversial" by American standards [Chibi Jesus on Cross and Chibi Skeletal Pope] so it fits the bill.

 

You're probably right, they are quite controversial. These and that Zollmen 'nazi' boy.

 

the hoods worn by the kkk predate their organization as a horseman's guild. in spain during holy week, the hooded penitents march with crosses and torches, surrounding sculptural floats. they look a lot like kkk people, though their hoods are a variety of colors. they've worn these way longer than the kkk. i'm just saying there's more history to the hood.
children also wear these but only some of them. the rest run around collecting the melting wax off the candles, trying to collect the biggest ball of wax amongst their friends.
character fits in with the euro-religious aspect of these toys.

 

Although I agree, that doesn't change what it's mostly known for here in the US. Also the swazi had a long history too, doesn't mean it's not now synonymous with Nazis and tomfoolery. Take it as you will.

 

I just got this Debris Japan resin guy and I'm blow the fuck away with this sculpt. Totally amazing, and if anyone was thinking about snagging one DO it. Cant wait to take some pics !

 

RESTORE is amazing. insane levels of detail...! I was wearing the Mtn Temple around my neck last saturday for those that asked.

 

I bought one from Lulubell for presale quite some time ago and still not here
They do look very detailed and interesting!

Also these are white resin with a colored coating, how do I know ... I dropped mine and broke the toes off. The nice thing about resin, a little glue and your good to go again

And hell yes there is so much going on with the sculpt. So many hidden little details, like the star on the back of his head !

Too bad the lil guy had to break to share that knowledge.
It would be interesting to know the process that goes into making these.
Purple and green are my favs too. Blue would be nice to see eventually as well.

 

Finally got mine, it did help to contact Amy. I liked it a lot but was surprised to see how small it was.
