omg. I need these. btw, I thought that the Evil's eyes were originally yellow or something. I think the red isn't as cool, but it's still pretty awsome.
The Evil totally has orange eyes. I wish I could hold a set for everyone that has asked me. Seriously though there are more people asking me then there are sets. I know that everyone has been bugging out for these and I just didn't know what would be the best way to get these out. So....http://toysrevil.blogspot.com/2009/05/r ... co-de.html
I don't collect rxh but if it's anything like the recent anraku stuff on gt...I'm hoping that the rush and panic won't cause the server's to crash.
damn. i'm gonna try for which ever i can, and hope my son doesn't decide to run up and slap the keyboard a million times or cut the power if i'm actually in time to snag one....
See the funny thing about that is, not many people really celebrate May 5 in Mexico. September 16th is Mexico's Independence Day. Cinco de Mayo has turned into a college town drink fest sponsored by corona. Anyway, the spray on those figures are nice.
5 de mayo in mexico is not a holiday, here there's no party, celebrations etc. just a normal day 5 de mayo is the commemoration of the Puebla battle vs france in 1862 and as Joe said the independence is sept 16th, that's when we celebrate on topic: this set rules, RHND!!
what color are the eyes on the evil? toysrevil said, "So what's the big deal with this colorway? RxH first debuted this fade on the Catkid sculpt, and rumors (desires?) of this fade set quickly followed. Clear vinyl also presents several challenges itself. Clear vinyls are actually made by adding specific chemicals to the standard vinyls to make them translucent. These additives change the properties of the vinyl a bit, making it softer and more easily distorted when being pulled out of the mold. In this particular run for example, less then half made it to finished product." so I'm wondering about this, was this a fact with other clear figures like the bb set? or is this just another way to hype
I thought it had to do with clear vinyl being a tougher thing to find now. Like the process of making it changed over the last year due to laws and it's "not the same" or something like that?
Not sure if it is hype but clear vinyl is basically the same as it ever was. It has always been more expensive and more difficult to use. Unless RxH has made new molds for the 1st four figures they are probably starting to become problematic at this point. They have pulled thousands of Evils, Choas, Mutant heads by now. As the mold gets more worn you get more defects.
Hmm, I think the part mentioning less than half making it to the finished product has to do more w/ paint then the clear vinyl itself. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Didn't they also have production problems with the Slime set? While not clear, per say, something happened in the production cycle where they lost a number of Bigaros.
