Vegetarian/Vegan ftw! I shop the Japanese grocers in pure envy of the much-wider-veg selection that you've got over there okonomiyaki... :drool: there should be more veggie kaiju, though - Matango and Chaos are on the right track!
it would seem that way, I can't find them anymore on any of the sites I saw offering them. Perhaps when they arrive in stock in US retailers, some might have some extras beyond their pre-orders?
So will um....someone in Japan grab me that Dog if it's "in store only?" Ah well, if I miss it no biggie. Usually I'm not into the subtle sprays like that but I just love the dogs. Not into the Cats but them's some real nice colors.
I totally imagined that dog with a big blingy collar round his neck just now ... But then, hey ... ... I'M TRIPPIN' BALLS!
Says he thinks it's supposed to reference the Jumbo Machinder Garada K-7 colors. I don't care for it. The two-tone body seems too drastic since the torso is a single, flat piece. Also, it ends up looking like a rework of the green Bigaroid. There's a ton of super robot material to draw from, so I wonder why he chose to release the last two Bigaroids in color schemes that resemble the old releases. That aside, I love the new Jinmenken colors. They look more like real dogs (whereas the others were overtly monstrous), which gives them a creepy, paranormal feel. Just noticed that Saburo's face is essentially the Oni-Head's face, but it's sculpted to resemble the traditional Hanya Noh mask.
This was on display in the shop last week, while we were there. The bright red gloves really stand out from the rest of the figure.
I like the sculpt. I think the supposedly gaudy yellow one is the best. One or two go a long way in my view.
