Re: Secret Base...what is this? It sure looks like the drawing on the flier, which is fine with me for a fight figure, more of a nod or homage.
Re: New sculpt with real picture now..... The hands look like little gloves, like on the sharkman. Can't wait for this guy to drop.
Pretty sure it's a full figure . . . the 'costume' part of the translation probably refers to the Henshin origins! and WOOOT! a Secret Base fight figure for Christmas . . . result!
Re: Secret Base...what is this? I think it really looks like the MISHKA Simon Head by L'amour Supreme - is it a Colab??
This actually came out pretty neat. I love that the head is still a suit-style head with the cut, and if the hands really are gloves, that's pretty rad. I don't care for the colors at all, though. I want to support new figures though... do I dare wait and hope for more releases?
I've got the original 12" Cyclovillain as well as the all clear version and they are both two of my favorite toys. This new fight figure is pretty badass, I gotta say, and I am super tempted to pick it up. I do wish that he was hoofed like the original, but I guess that would be kind of difficult given the SB body's single piece.
Thats a great point. It would've been interesting to see this guy on a bee body - as those feet are pretty hoof like. But we can experiment with a few mash-ups ourselves. This new figure is like Christmas come early for me - a great new take on a classic figure - and a new pal for Sharkman! Great colorway too!
sent my order request! never cared much for sharkman, but i'm going to try to find a version i like now so i can have one to go with this guy. always like to have a sets when it comes to stuff like this. doesn't make sense to have a battler without his arch enemy...
Re: Secret Base...what is this? I agree, it has the two pointed larger teeth more centered as opposed to on the ends like the cyclopion mark, and it also has no ears, plus the low brow.
This figure is super nice, i like the new pimply three-fingered (?) hands, reminds me of the Boogies texture. A few thoughts: Is this guy flippin' a "U.K. bird" ? If arm and hands are one piece then it's technically a new arm sculpt too, right ? I think the one horned cyclop skull is an old image that inspired both from which both the Cyclovillain and Cyco Simon are derived. I believe Simon is somewhat of a tribute to the original SB Cyclo-Villain. Ultimately, the story of cyclops and their skulls was most likely inspired by finds of mammoth skulls which can look like those of one eyed giants because of the giant hole in the middle for the trunk and the absence of closed eye sockets. Viva this new SB !!!
The arm and hands are separate pieces . . . and I believe they are gloves over the regular hands (although I've never taken them apart to check). Curious to see the head beneath the Cyclovillain mask!
I imagine its teh OG bug-head. The original release full color 12 inches have two different human featured head sculpts under the masks (someone please remind me who they are) and teh clear 12 inches have the skullhead joe head sculpt. I love it when everything comes together like this - cocobat joe Vs. skull head joe, then Rumina Borg joins the fight and faces off against Mach Roid (not much of a battle as his legs break off at the hips if you look at him!) Shardkman and Cycovillian! Now we get to replay teh battle fight fig style. Its rad that Hiddy does these - the audience is limited - but we are grateful!
The Medicom Deathra, Death Kappa, and this dude have created a flury, that have made me really excited about toys for the first time in a long while.
Yeah, I took that as a given but it looks like a flesh coloured head from the back view . . . curious!
I'm guessing / hoping the second release will be the traditional bright-ass purple, black and silver. That color scheme in clears would be off all proverbial chains.
