I don't mind the mash ups or the Franks . . . I know I'm in the minority but I can't see the appeal of the plainer versions ie. the new dayglo set. I guess if we all liked the same stuff it'd be kinda boring.
True. (But your taste sucks lol) For me it comes down to the sculpt. I think the brain is strong enough to pull off the symplicity. The lines of the original obake, the brain, the pumpkin head, bee, they all just fight and flow perfectly. The franks look clunky and out of proportion, and make the things I like about most SB sculpts disappear when you shove their head on it. Mashups haven't ever been equal to the sum of their parts imo, even when I like the pieces (for example last years halloween set, and stomp). I'm not much into mixing lines I guess.

They do look great together. I have to agree with Audio however, for some reason (prolly color related) the back figures dont seem to hold the same presence as the front. I do notice the front figures have mainly dark, deep colors while the back 3 have a softer look.
The bagman would be the "strongest" of the weakest imo. I'm a pumpkin fan at heart but the coloring etc just doesn't stand out as much as the reds/blues/yellows on the front three...

I'm a sucker for a mash up so the Pumpkin brain is my top choice and most liked in this series. Would love to see that bonus figure already
