I don't know what the japanese pronunciation for the character is on the cat, but it means "abnormal".
It's the "Kai" from Kaiju or Yokai. 'Strange' might be a better translation. ('Abnormal' might be open to misinterpretation I think). It's face looks like a Daruma (another Japanese lucky mascot), but I think it looks kind of funny - a mismatch. An actual Real x Head Daruma might've been cool, but we've already had one red Fortune Cat ... My WALLET is relieved!
yes, you're right: "strange" is the best meaning. I initially thought "abnormal" when saw this lucky cat version in light of what was previously released. a one eyed lucky cat is strange already, no? There's a better word for abnormal that's spoken and written differently.
I too am relieved I dont need this one.......but if it was that Metallic Green Blue...Id have to have another cat!
