Why is it that some people seem to think that EVERY figure they buy increases in value? I understand that people want to get back at least what they paid, but some sellers are clearly delusional. Newsflash! Many figures (in my opinion, most) actually DECREASE in value over time. Has anyone else noticed this? P.S. This is more of a commentary based on my observation of the KR sales forum than a commentary based on my observation of the skullbrain sales forum.
the only reason anything ever decreases in value is because people that only follow trends in toys are no longer interested in "what's hot" and move on to something else. if people stopped paying ridiculous prices for brand new toys just because they have to have them RIGHT NOW, I don't think that would happen.
people actually resell their toys? mine just seem to disintegrate after I've played with them so much.
It would be funny if they enforced a period of grace after each toy gets released on the KR BST part. Then the prices wouldn't go astronomically and then sink again so much.
is there a new "this month's JLED" figure that just dropped over in KR land or something which prompted this post? I have no desire to keep up anymore.
Theres a couple of new JLed [expletive deleted]'s coming out. Pretty easy to find but people are having trouble. Waiting for the mud slinging to start.
i have lost money on a few figures. but overall, i would say that 75% of the toys i have bought and sold i have at least broken even on(if not made some profit)
