Saw a double feature of The Wolf Man (1941) and The Invisible man(1933) this weekend and figured I needed to bring a (morel) snack to the theater.
Been a minute! I'd fallen off the forum for a while as I struggled with some immigration issues, but we're back on course now. Celebrated with some photos of a toy I've been hoping to own for about a year now--Toky's Tomodachi First Machine in totally-not-Supreme colours, appropriately titled 'Make Money'.
The maker has attracted some negative buzz owing to his aggressive anti-resale practices, and I have mixed opinions on those. But the toy itself I can't fault. On the most basic and important level, it's a really well-produced doll with clean paint, many joints (wrists and ankles!) and a striking fire-truck red vinyl that I just want to stare at. For the more pretentious among us, I really enjoy the fusion of a Jomon-period dogu figurine with modern mecha aesthetics, especially given that Toky made ceramics before soft vinyl, and having all that wrapped in obnoxious bootleg-Supreme branding makes me laugh.
Spoiler: More photos

Somewhat ironic when molded vinyl costs more than hand-blown glass, but hey, I don't make the rules.
