looks like theyre trying to stop scalping with some new steps you have to go through to buy your tickets, this year. You now have to fill out a Fan Verification form. Deadline is June 13th and you must do it to get an email link to purchase tickets. And everyone you buy a ticket for must have an ID for you to enter, if youre buying for multiple people.
I filled out the form. There's not much to it. The standard name/address/email/phone, plus what you're looking forward to survey type questions. I figured it would've been longer based on the description. Who knows!
http://www.NewYorkComicCon.com/FanVerification hopefully this'll make the actual ticket ordering process not take 30+ min this year...
Once again, I'm passing on it due to the fact that NYCC is HUUUUGE. ......and I hate large crowds so much. Still patiently waiting for someone to organize a toy show on the east coast.
yea I saw that haha, I would bet that the sales of tickets will go pretty well for verified people, then they'll probably have a bunch of leftovers, and then will reopen verification, or drop it altogether for the remaining tickets.
well either I fucked up the days, or I was just making sure you were paying attention... but lets be real here... I totally halfway read the email, and jumped the gun , carry on!
super7 and bwana drew me there last year. i know bwana's questionable, but does anyone know if super7 will be present and accounted for?
What are people doing for this- wondering if I really want all 4 days. Also, are the prices lower? Haven't been in a while, but I remember them being a bit more expensive.
I'm hoping for Saturday. if I lived closer I'd do atleast 2 days, but I've always had enough after one day. prices are the same as past years I believe
I really wish conventions would post their exhibitor list as it becomes available. I understand why they don't but it still bugs me...NYCC actually waited until a few days before the event to release the floor map last year. You have to just hope your favorite vendors will be there when you buy tickets. All they give you is a tease via email with a few moderately popular actors and a handful of artists. Yeah, I agree with @evom. I went for only Thursday last year and that was more than enough for me. I don't go to any sessions, signings, or screenings, etc. so I can hit every booth on my list and walk the whole floor in a single day without any issue.
Tickets up in 10. I forgot to verify my lady, feel stupid. I don't know why they couldn't have left verification open until the tickets went up.
took a half hour to get through the queue, but I ended up going for the 3 day pass. see you guys in 100 days
took me an hour and 20 minutes... got my Saturday pass though! even though the wait sucked, things went way smoother this year.
Still in the queue after 1 hour and 40 minutes. Ugh. Congrats though! Please share pics!! Update! Got in at 1:45. Picked up a saturday.
