oh, that's probably what they were. i thought he was referring to another item being offered other than the siamese. no one has pics of the pushead event?
If I was working the both I would have grabbed one of these, the vinyl is so so nice, it feels super soft. The marbling on these guys is insane and all I can think of now is doing some sort of marble toy myself.
Pus what? Best toy of the show right here: I don't know why the fish-ass didn't click for me before now. Paul is a sick, sick man, and a genius. Another glorious pickup... I added the pipe cleaners myself. I grabbed the blue and green painted Splurrt figure, but left it at home... so totally cool. I had a blast, and was exhausted afterward. The crowding got really bad by like 1 o'clock, and it was impossible to get around. It was great to meet people and see all the amazing stuff they had to offer. I didn't even actually manage to hit up the Monster Worship booth... I dug the Kusogons, and then ended up never being able to physically get back near the booth!
I Was there today, had a great time but man Im wiped out... the problem with nycc for new yorkers is that its like being trapped behind slow walking tourists, it was rather maddening and my punch reflex was hard to control. That said it was great meeting kichigai and chad seeing joel and paul and a brief hey from grizzli. All in all an awesome day
We just got home and my legs still hurt from yesterday being out for 12 hours. I don't even think I saw half of the people here that went...it was so busy and there was so much to do, you didn't have time to stop. Highlight for me was the pus event and the Ron English opening last night. Yesterday was probably the best day I have had in a long time, aside from the figures I picked up spending time with great people makes me remember how much I love this hobby. I don't think I stopped for about 12 hours yesterday! I'll post pictures tomorrow probably, too tired and too happy to sit down with the camera
Sounds like you had a great time... I kept an eye out for you, but had to see the whole show floor in a single day.
The same with us! We completely missed the con on Sunday! We had a blast meeting the few folks that we did and running around NYC! GREAT TIMES!!!
That 1950's retro futuristic space man is incredible and would look cool with the four horseman outer space men set. Do you think this sunguts sculpt is, or will be, available?
It's sculpted by Sunguts, but it's based on the design work of Matt Walker, Dead Presidents. The line is called Cosmic Squadron, and there have been a couple releases with a number of paint jobs, and more on the way. A lot of them have gone straight to Japan, so keep your eyes peeled. I love the funky proportions and the removable clear helmet... and the Micromang colors!
Thanks! I Googled it and found several references: http://toysrevil.blogspot.com/2010/08/c ... alker.html
Man, just when you think the Captains are old hat, Pus flips it and switches it for more Pus goodness. Here's my grab bag color. The only other marbled color that hasn't been posted here yet is the red/blue. And just having some fun with the Siamese twins.... Lovin' these captains!
whoa jacranky, yours is the only one i havent seen yet. is that brown and green? or brown and yellow? either way, its a nice captain. gotta hunt these things down!
Like I said in my NYCC review on my Pushead blog, there were several people in line ahead of me with a girlfriend/friend/whatever there to pick up an extra. Hopefully they don't gouge you too badly.
