Although Tomy's line of windups was mostly cute animals and little dome headed robots a few monsters snuck in as well. I imagine they were passed off as turtles in the western markets: Walking: Swimming: Duck for an idea of what the rest of the line was like:
That is seriously such a killer spaceship Paul. How large is it? The pilot looks so fragile, nevermind even for kids. That he is still standing (sitting) and all his tentacles are there is awesome.
I saw these vintage wind-ups on here & was really interested in finding some. I just scored this guy last week & he arrived today. Thanks everyone for the pics & info. I wanna try to find more of these guys...
Ya I was stoked when I saw him! I've only seen the few that have been posted on here but when I saw this one I assumed he was from the same series. And ya the box is amazing! I'm really shocked that it is in such good condition after such a long time. And he was only $10! An awesome price for something so old & so damn cool...
I love the mad cannibal illustration. Its just plain wrong. I wonder who painted it and what else was sitting in the studio?
Greg Mishka that is such a cool score. I keep imagining possible strange places that you may have come across a box of them. Would love to see a video of them all jiving.
