Outside Lands Festival

Anyone going? I'd really like to see radiohead again.. but I detest outdoor festivals so much I will be passing.

just curious.. if anyone goes, would like a review

 

I'd like to go. a bit expensive for a concert in a public park. I may go on saturday, friday night lineup is so good but its $90 for 4 hours on friday or $90 for ten hours on saturday. not a hard choice for me.

 

is this happening this weekend? going to cause a lot of traffic?

 

they are offering a shuttle ride from AT&T park to the concert if i'm not mistaken

 

Not goin'. Too expensive for a GGP concert, and the nightmare of the WOMAD debacle turned me off to for-pay concerts in GGP. For some reason the free ones seem to turn out better. I live close by ... might wander by to hear reverb-y Beck from the perimeter.

 

Oh, that's what my gym friend was referring to... he mentioned some concert in the park in SF, but wasn't sure of any of the details.

 

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings rule but not enough to spend $90 to see.

 

so is it near super 7 and going to traffic?

 

it is in the park so it shouldn't create traffic in Japan town.

It's far away where you don't have to worry.

 

Hoping Jeff tweedy ends up shopping in Super7 because I heard he's into Secret Base.

 

I'm going tomorrow to outside lands. my girl just got the overpriced tickets. howie epstein has died since I last saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I'm sure they are too wholesome Americana for many of the scream-rock enthusiasts here, but Petty puts on a spectacular show. He's one of the few artists I've seen really work with the monitors at big shows, mugging up like a vampire in Free Fallin' etc. And he really is Big in Japan, according to my old roommate Taka.
