nice zombi 2 print. i am interested to see Jay Shaw's Escape from NY print when it drops. Thats one of my all time fav films.
I didn't think it'd be any different from the cover art of the LP. Now I wonder if it will! That'd be cool. I like the cover art, and if you buy the LP you get a litho, but I don't think as large/high of quality. There's a cool Itallian Escape from New York poster I love. Not hard to find, at least I've seen ti around. It's a painting and Snake is way beefed up. Classic 80's action. I love that damn movie. Everything about it.
I don't want to put something like this in the "wanted" thread since that's for toys. BUT anyone here get a copy of the WBYK Mondo prints of either "They Live" "The Thing" or "Beetlejuice" and wanna pass them off or trade for toys? I'm not willing to go on eBay so thought I'd ask here. ANYWAY, other than the last Gorilla Ju poster I haven't gotten anything lately but thought I'd revive the thread with begging.
This person has to be a member here? Kinoko, from Portland Oregon, did a Lion Maru Print, that I'm in love with... I'm snagging a copy today, from their Etsy site... I think it's amazing, and it really reminds me of 2 things, 1:Scott Pilgrim, and 2:Nintendo Power Magazine, comic strips. I'm not shucking prints, because I don't know who made these, but they're rad. http://www.etsy.com/listing/118332678/l ... h_type=all
BTW Rich, when are you going to push out some "Bemon" Style Sludge Demon Prints... I saw some photos of your old workspace, and you had one hanging on the wall... I would be into that for sure...
Good luck with those Mondo prints. I feel prints is the flippers' paradise - Mondo prints especially. I wanted one of those Mondo Ollie Moss Totoro prints but the 'aftermarket' prices are just ridiculous. Anyway, thanks for reviving the thread.
I still want that Mondo Gigantor Tokyo Night version but I'm unwilling to shell out ebay prices (once in awhile there is a decent priced one).....I keep asking for it for xmas and my b-day but I think my g/f has blocked it out of her mind.
I know, that's why I was asking HERE with the hopes someone would be cool and have them or trade for some toys. I'm not the type to load my walls with posters of movies or bands I like, I'm not 14 anymore. But a very few make the cut, and those are them. I like a lot of Mondo's stuff but it's never anything I'd want to own. EDIT: Not saying having band/movie posters makes you 14, I'm probably 12 deep down, but that's all I had when I was 14. Now just a few, not a ton like Mondo produces, is what I want.
Some nice Ultraman prints: http://zigame.jp/ Edit: I just saw the prices - sorry for wasting your time.
Just ordered the GID Gojira print by Miles Tsang. (I cannot seem to figure out how to post the picture without adding it to photobucket first) I have been watching this guy for a while now and really like his style. His everytime i die print is so good, unfortunately I do not like the band too much. http://milestsang.bigcartel.com/
No, that pic was taken in bright daylight I suck at doing night shots - I will need to use a tripod so I must have it framed (to have it vertical) before I can attempt one.
I've been slowly getting prints I've gotten at various shows framed. Here's a few I just got back this week. I love prints from David D'Andrea, Arik Roper, John Baizley and Florian Bertmer. Pushead goes without saying.
Mondo released these awesome Creepshow posters by Mike Sutfin today. They look incredible, the green 1 is the variant with gid ink.
From his usual subject matter, and although not too far off with his retro robos, still, I never pictured Barr doing a Tetsujin piece. Now that I've seen it though, his styling definitely makes for a complimentary Tetsujin design. Very nice! Thanks for sharing, Oli... I wonder what size it is. I had the luck of seeing some of his large paintings in person almost ten years ago now. Damn it was fun getting lost in them. Nothing compares to seein them in person, but also - the world he portrays in his works are spellbinding. I never appreciated his work as much as when I stood face to face with em. That's one of those moments I wish I could revisit. 1 day!
Oh here's an interesting Glenn Barr painting, since Miscreation Toys has a toy version of this classic iron monster out soon.
^^^^ Cool painting. I hadn't heard about a toy based on the robot, so thanks for the info. I got the series on DVD a few years ago and first thing I thought was "Someone should make a toy of that robot."
Just a heads up that Mondo is releasing a Godzilla(2014) movie poster tomorrow. http://mondotees.com/blogs/news/1890672 ... tail-shots
