Thanks Roger! Much better. @onibaba...so did you ever get shots of the foot markings or figure out who the maker of the giant Pulgasari was? I'm really curious about it. @devilboy...Yeah, I'm on the hunt for the mini gold version to match, probably going to be a while!
Re: This guy is incredible! Would really love to see one in my collection some day. The gold Marmit one is great as well.
Hmmm, I thought I posted pics of the markings in the old thread but I guess not. I'll take pics this week. Roger did post a good link that shows both the regular version and the burning which I have. http://www.mandarake.co.jp/information/ ... index.html
Cool, thanks for the link. Nice to see the packaging and it shows them being released in 2005...at 4,200yen! That would be great if you could post markings when you get the chance.
Re: Pulgasari I just spied another great crazy pic...a very ecclectic mix. Theres a whole lot going on in this one.
Glad I can resurrect this thread to happily report that I was finally was able to track this beauty down
Nice pick up, I have the standard and para baby gold as well and also this painted Para Baby I'd love to get one of the big Water Bull figures to go with them, but I'm not willing to plop down 400 bones.
Has anyone gotten any of those Mondo Pulgasaris? Seeing a lot of unhappy customers online. The figures are being shipped without padding on boxes that aren't big enough, resulting in creased-up header cards and horns being broken off.
Issues aside Mondo missed the mark, the sculpt is super similar to Waterbull but smaller which is nice yet ununique. But the figures don’t look like sofubi they look like vinyl action figures, and they took the whole funko approach that if they used insanely heavy metallic sprays it would make them look like sofubi.
I agree. I was pumped when I saw about the release, but they looked more like x-plus figures as far as the sculpt went.
After the Godzilla ordering issues, some folks on the Facebook groups have pointed out that there are many listings for the Pulgasauri figures on eBay that are at or below Mondo's original retail price. Grab some Zap-A-Gap while you're at it!
