    Question about SDCC clear zag
I've seen these on ebay for insane prices. (Sometimes 5x the amount it cost.)
My question is has anybody had purchased one on these boards for a reasonable price or is this a lost cost. I just refuse to pay 240 for a toy. I like the sculpt and color but just seems crazy.

Got a hook up from a board member for retail plus shipping about, BUT I was LUCKY! I just posted in the "Wanted" thread and got it, REAL LUCKY, I just would NOT pay the bay myself though. Not at those prices, I mean I think the hype will slow down and you'll get one for a better price than that. It'll just take a while and some hunting, have those even been selling for those prices recently? I know right after the con they did, but it seems like now everyones ASKING price is like $300, are these even moving? I dunno, I'm just saying, it's not a 1 off or something, and yes it's hard to get, but I still think if you wait it out and do some hunting and be patient you'll get one for a bit more of a reasonable price.

I just sold mine for $150, but after what I went through to get him I think it was a fair price.

Yeah for sure. I think it was retail at SDCC for $100? So even if you DIDN'T have to go through such a hard time getting it I'd say that's an awesome price, especially considering the after market.

    Question about SDCC clear zag
Oh I didn't know they were sold at $100. The thrashout 3rd anniversary says 7500 yen which is about 70 dollars and there's one on the bay for 335 and one the other day sold for 310.

    Question about SDCC clear zag
Well I THINK at SDCC they were $100, than again they had to fly to the US and all that so a small mark up vs. the 7500 yen isn't so bad I'd say. I still say wait it out a bit, I doubt it goes HIGHER (than again, I could be wrong.)

    Question about SDCC clear zag
There's one on ebay from Japan going for $300+. WTF?! brothaman must've got it for around 70 or so. what a douche. Whenever I see stuff like this, I almost find myself contacting the seller to tell them how much of a douche they're being--but who wants to be suspended?

    Just gotta be patient.

I'm an obsessive Zag collector but no way I'm biting at these prices - it's not that rare of a figure so these sellers are just trying to gouge collectors. I agree - eventually some will show up at reasonable prices.

The thing that really sucks is that Mark Nagata was nice enough to get one for me at SDCC but the bag containing mine and his was stolen so it stands to reason that at least 2 of the ones that have shown up on ebay recently may be stolen - keep that in mind too.

If anyone has one they like to sell - let me know - I'll give you more than a fair price for one but not the mid-200's to 300's these are selling for on the 'bay - that's just crazy for this figure.

I think the first one to sell on ebay went for $300 so every other flipper is looking to get the same price.

I think the price on these will drop back down. I saw the box there were at least 80+ for sale and they had another batch in Japan. Wait it out.

That's EXACTLY what I think too. If the first sold for lower I think they wouldn't have ended up going so nuts. But cause' some jerk was willing to dish out that kind of money for it, that's what happens.

I don't get mad at flippers really, sometimes I admit they get me what I want that no one else can and SOMETIMES at an OK price. But some people just jump and go nuts at high prices for new things and it ruins it for the rest of us.

    Question about SDCC clear zag
I get mad at the flippers. To me, a flipper is someone who buys crap at cost, then quickly sells it for a ridiculous amount of money. If these cats sold them for just a few bucks more than what they paid, they'd be aiight.

In some cases, I've offered double what they paid for an item and have been turned down. talk about greedy.

If there are 80+ floating around, I'm sure we'll see them for something more reasonable soon, but by then I might just not give a Fbleepk. new releases, new day.

    Question about SDCC clear zag

Yeah, but would they exist if no one paid those prices? Not saying they're innocent, but I think the real blame goes to those willing/financially secure/crazy enough to pay those prices. They're clearly getting the money from someone to continue doing this kind of thing. Tis an age old discussion though. And in the end it sucks when it goes down, all we can do is not pay those prices and be patient.

yeah, we've been through this before. And you're right; the ppl paying are to blame also.

This Zag is really interesting but I haven't seen a lot of glamour shots here on the board (just PK's). Anyone have any to share with the have-nots? :)

    Question about SDCC clear zag
This is what I was wondering.
If so I seem to recall him buying KAWS items and selling them for 100% + profit the same day he purchased from kawsone. I seem to recall him buying lame-ass jled sharpie skatedecks and attempting to sell them immediately. And I seem to recall him doing the same thing with Kozik stuff.
If this is the same guy, I'm glad he missed out on the Zag for retail.
If it's not the same guy that's one weird coincidence.
