I just tried calling and it picks up, then there is no sound and it shortly disconnects. I cannot believe anyone at S7 does not have additional phone numbers for him, unless he has changed them.
If you find his employer address or phone, you should avoid contacting his employer directly, although contacting Glenn would be ok. You don't want to cross the line into illegality in trying to right your wrong. There are strict rules against contacting someone's employer while trying to collect a debt.
I believe his wife works HR at a P2P company in CA. If this is true, her email address is available... Might be a way to find out WTF is going on. Unfortunately, I'm not getting involved as he doesn't owe me anything.
I still think if enough people call paypal and organize they'll fix this. I've had them do it for me in the past, with no one else on my side. Even after months. I only press that because 1- No one is getting involved in Pogues personal life that way and 2-You'll get your money faster if they work with you. Save the messy legal crap for someone else.
If you're referring to the FDCPA, that deals primarily with consumer debt collection and the governance of businesses created to pursue the same. You'd have a helluva time finding a lawyer to try to defend you for money owed for what amounts to theft and/or mail fraud. And he'd certainly want a sizable retainer...
Some one on the board gave me a number for Glenn that I did not have and I called him just minutes ago. He told me that he had just gotten back from being out of the state for the past 4 months, and that he was headed into a meeting, but that anyone that he owes anything to should send him an email (I assume that would be to his paypal email address) to remind him. He mentioned that he owed JORDAN23 some toys, but thought that was about it. He told me that I could tell everyone that he would take care of this all within the next few days. I hope this helps. Glenn has always been one of the best guys that I have met in collecting toys, and I believe despite the time involved, he will make this all right.
I would like to thank Harmond for making the call. Hopefully that gets the ball moving. It was never about the money or toys for me otherwise I would have vented 4 months ago. it was the lack of respect. All I ever expected was a simple response.
Can't email someone who you took over $500 from, but has time to update his Facebook page - definition of great guy! Class act.
Glad someone succeeded in contacting him, but I can't help that my initial reaction is still Best of luck to those involved, now the he supposedly wants to make some rights. Really looking forward to what develops next.
Glenn wrote me an email both apologizing for the delay and letting me know he would ship tomorrow. Here is hoping for a good outcome for all involved.
