Everything is sold out already actually. I managed to get a Blowfish, but 25$ in shipping for one mini to Canada made me cancel everything. Isn't the actual shipping 5$ or so?
I think it's just a default shipping charge by the system. If you emailed S7F after the purchase I'm sure then can do something about it.
This Milton puzzles me because it really looks like the one released last year (I guess) : EDIT: my wrong, the one supposedly release today is totally different :-/ it seems it is casted in clear dark blue...
Sorry about the shipping charges to Canada. Shipping to Canada via USPS Priority International (cheapest option that includes tracking) is $19 and $25 everywhere else. I have updated the prices in the shopping cart and refunded the difference to all of those folks who ordered from Canada.
Thanks! Would it be possible to offer a regular air mail, no-tracking option (where the customer forfeits all rights to complain etc.)? I did that at the store, never had anything lost or anyone complain, and shipping for minis fell to under 10$, and rarely over 15$ for anything vinyl.
First class overseas shipping is not reliable, hence our insistence on shipping via priority with tracking without exception.
Sorry, but you are wrong. USPS First-Class Mail International is really reliable, fast and rarely get custom problems. More than 20 years of experience speaking.
I've shipped thousands of toy shipments around the world for nearly 10 years now and have had this debate ad nauseum. If I ship a package to someone without tracking than the transaction is now on the honor system, with no proof that the package ever arrived for either party. And forgive me if I am not as trustworthy of toy buyers as I used to be, after being taken by numerous buyers over the years. You can see our ebay feedback page going back to 2002 with over 2000 transactions without a negative feedback. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... =25&page=2 And I've also sold nearly as many toys on the skullbrain bst over the years with nary an issue. Furthermore, my wife and I are the best shippers in the world and run an extremely tight ship. We pack well, charge exact postage rates, and ship immediately. And if ever there is a query as to where someone's package is we can pinpoint its location instantaneously.
I think it boils down to Paypal, no tracking means no seller protection which can be taken advantage of.
Well put Scott. I've had really good experiences shipping but a few bad. I don't own a business but if I did I would always make sure to ship priority international to protect the buyer and seller. Regarding the hold boxes...that's always a great option and I know a lot of members have those at S7 especially for small ticket items.
Yes, hold boxes are ideal for this type of scenario. Just shoot us an email and we will place you goodies in one for you.
You have to balance the sales you'll lose from people who don't want to pay more in shipping than in toys with the few people who will claim, truly or not, that their toys never made it. If people are informed that there's no guarantee, I don't see what harm there may be... It takes a few more emails every sale... Hold boxes are great - if you buy enough to justify one.
With all the talk about shipping and what I see as continued questioning of Scott's policy, the thread seems to be derailing. Scott stated his policy and why he believes it's best for his customers and his business. Glad to have seen the clear pink Blowfish make an appearance and looking forward to seeing it soon. Now for more Ghostland figures in pink! I thought maybe they dropped off into quiet solitude.
Hello Scott, You get a point concerning the honor system. And your integrity is a point that has not even to be discussed Nevertheless, our point of view is also legit when you end into paying the same price in shipping fees than in stuff. Yesterday I bought an orange Garuru at your store. Its price: $30. Shipping fees: $25. When with the USPS shipment with now tracking it costs US $10. And this is the way people I've dealt with on this board used each time and I had no problem. Moreover after 13 years of collecting, I had no problem at all with stuff shipped in this way. Anyway I ended taking a pink pocket mummy boy to smoothen the "shipping pain" and it costed me US $27. I will be frank, when I will get the parcel I will have a look at the actual shipping fees. If they are a few bucks below, not a big deal. But let's imagine that with tracking the parcel costed US $15 instead of the US $27 requested, then I will come back to you
Shipping must have tracking these days because all it takes is one bad egg to ruin the entire nest. With tracking, no bad eggs.
