Following up on a post buried here earlier I ordered some METHYL ISOBUTYL KETONE from a chemical dealer on ebay. also known as MIBK. I mixed it 50/50 with a test sample of flourecent v color and clear v color. the v color did not curdle or string and it dried hard within 5 minutes. it sprays and brushed just fine, dried correctly and 15 minutes later will not scratch off. This stuff seems to be the replacement. I did the testing on a did piece of japanese made vinyl. it was about 35 dollars a quart. you also have to pay extra for hazardous materials shipping and i recommend you find someone in state. seems to make it easier.
