cool as always. did not know that there was an entire set of Painted Kinnukiman keshi. Can't imagine what they would look like now.
I love all of this
They're all great, but it's that diorama that makes my day! Wonderful finding.
trying very hard not to imagine what those dinos cost back in that time. Still, to me they are beautiful enough to have been worth it! Great catalog? Or mook?
Not sure, sorry. I often just grab things off Japanese twitter or whatever, so i have no context of where the scan is from. I do improve most of them in photoshop, so they're not exactly the same as i find them ...
That right there evokes a certain type of magic. I remember feeling it with the Flintstones Rock Cruncher plastic kit as a kid. Not a reimagined toy...a familiar illustration/drawing/comic right in front of you, as a physical shape with volume. #13 wins.
1. Would kill for that T-28. Wouldn't even submit expenses.
2. Beautiful catalog over all
3. What year was that? Didn't see a date. Wondering because I have a vague memory of a robot much like Captain Patrol. Might just be wishful dementia or something, but cool!
4. Is it just me or does the Giants baseball player look like the villain from Minions only with hair?
Around 1966 apparently ...
I've probably posted that catalogue before on this thread (or similar scans) its hard to remember everything, so i don't think doubling up is a bad thing occasionally.
Star Wars in japanese looks new somehow. Nazi GI Joes? Kick bags? Metal looking rockets that could double as anti-armor rounds? That post has it all!!! I am worried that the Whack-A-Kaiju Mole had a built-in destruction factor that means none of 'em ever made it to resale. Sigh.
So much beauty and crystal motorcycles too. Makes my lunch hour!
