im with bert. taking out retailers - that do all the work like promoting toys, making em popular, running messagebaords, giving parties or just being a place where fans meet & get to know each other - isnt very nice. dont think it works out long term. since shops selling rxh these days jumped in at times when rxh already was most popular dont care much.
Well if you're cool paying more for toys I guess this makes sense. I don't think selling direct is snubbing the retailers that helped RxH in the past. I also think it's a way for Mori to be more interactive to his fans. No one owes anyone anything and if the only way these shops were staying alive is by selling RxH then they've got terrible plans for the future. I think, however, they're smart enough to know how to sustain themselves. I don't see it as personal or even not being nice to the shops so much as Mori reaching further again. I don't see how this is a bad thing. I think the toys will speak for what will or won't work.
Real Head US and Lulubell's new pricing warms the heart of an old collector - here's hoping for access to some of the amazing shop only releases!
Gotta love Lulubell! Just catching up but has it being confirmed anyplace that the site is officially RxH and not just a fansite?
yeah, Mori and Lulubell rule. I can't think of another example where pricing for an entire toy line have gone down instead of up.
Overall pretty darn cool! This statement oughta have many of us jumping for joy and over one another jockeying for position "...This website will be the place to find inside information... and pick-up exclusive web-only releases!" Congrats on the use of your photos for the header graphic wtfunks.
i hope that means more onell crossovers, too. which, hopefully, means more articulated minis. this is great new all around.
If anybody can can go into hyper-drive its RxH and Onell as rep. I am sure they will collaborate on more sculpts. Mori is way too creative to be limited in any way by retail outlet restraints however he probably will still have standard material and exclusives with the various retail venues. Mori deserves it ! Three cheers for creativity, individuality and free enterprise!
Wow! Very happy to see RxH coming to the states. Congratulations to everyone involved. I'm a newbie to the RxH world for about a year now. I simply can't resist the best sculpts and color ways to ever hit the scene.
There's a new RxH section on the ToyBreak forums. While the news section is cool, I'm looking forward to seeing what people put in the art section. http://www.octobertoys.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=36
so now we have this forum, the official rxh us site, and the toybreak forum to check for news? maybe i'm reading too much into this, but was there some sort of souring between s7 and rxh that's created this rift? it would have been nice if the toybreak forum was rolled into ours over here.
The October Toys forum got the RxH board because of their close connection with Onell, but the Toybreak community is otherwise really not where RxH news and discussion belongs.
