I love eating meat and slaughtered animals. But I hate turkey. HATE. TURKEY. For my hate of their taste, I save many of their lives. As for their pig-friends...................................................................MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
I bet she would look sexy curled up next to a slice of cheddar with mayo smeared all over tucked inside a french roll, mmm baby
haha - dudes like a 5th level vegan. dosent eat anything that casts a shadow. me - yea Id take a big bite out that turkeys baked and seasoned ass. with some turkey jerky and cheddar bacon on the side. I eat meat cause its good.
that's cool scott. I've got 24 years vegetarian under my belt. I don't even know if I've ever eaten turkey on Thanksgiving.
poor little cow, little sheep, little fish how can I sleep? when carrots are bleedin' plants are screamin' and tomatoes cry, you say "it's not so bad, they're only vegetables", that's what you said maybe i'm a murderer, but i'm hungry and they're better off dead. save a plant, eat a cow, i want beef, i want it now! i'm gonna eat it cause it's red! i'm gonna eat it cause it's dead! maybe i should eat it raw let the blood run down my jaw i'd eat people if it was legal, i'd eat people if it was legal! Seriously though. I think it is cool that not only are you vegan but you actually do your part to help protect the animals you don't eat. Unlike a lot of people who claim to be vegan or veggie just because it is the cool thing to do. I tried it once but I only made it like a month or so. I like turkey on sandwiches but for some reason dislike turkey straight from the bird. Plus that damn tryptophan makes me sleepy.
i'm vegetarian myself. only for about 4 years though i like cheese too much to go vegan my fiancee and i are actually going to a vegan buffet for thanksgiving. there are supposedly 400 people signed up to come this year! (it's just an annual thanksgiving thing sponsored by the local vegetarian society)
nice! i'll be co-hosting a small thanksvegan gathering with my friend kim at her house in encinitas. this will be our 6th straight year doing it. Tofurkies and Cranium. It's a good time.
Heading to the Rainbow later to get my Tofurkey. I eat meat---but I really love a lot of the 'fake meat' products out there. I used to be vegetarian, but a trip to Tokyo ruined that.
I worry about this. I really haven't eaten any meat, fish, poultry anything for almost 25 years. I think about going to Japan and how difficult it will be to find things.
if it's any consolation, we're not having turkey for dinner. yes we're having ham, but i still spared a turkey. i'm debating sponsoring one too scott. i like that farm and it's values.
luckily bianca and i did most of our shopping earlier. it's amazing how crazy aggressive people can be at that place.
I've been thinking that for years about Rainbow. Decidedly un-hippy-like aggro in there. But then, it's overcrowded at Bi-Rite and crazy-snobby at Mollie Stones and all sorts of kooky at Safeway. Good Life and Whole Foods on Potrero Hill are fairly civilized though. Grocery stores that play old punk and new wave music seem to have the nicest people. Sometimes they play punk music at Super7 but their tofurkey has three eyes and wrecks Tokyo when agitated.
Are these turkeys actually rescued from other farms or are they breeding them specifically to be adopted? I couldn't find the info on the site but it seems weird if they're being bought/bred and then kept on a farm as pets. It does seem like a good organization though.
