these are my scores for the year. it was really great meeting some of you. i never really get the chance to buy these toys in person, meet the people i talk about them with, let alone meet the artist behind them, and thats what makes comic con the greatest. so thanks to S7, grass hut, gargamel, toy tokyo, onell design, and astrozombies for having such great booths. thanks to all the aritsts that were kind enough to give me a sketch. big thanks to the people over at skeletal for helping me acquire my first pushead hsp. can't wait till next year. what's sdcc without the freebies?
thanks everybody Nate- yes, its the oxidized copper. i love the base that joel included with all of them. JAY- I'll have detailed lightbox pics of the HSP soon
Yeah, I need to see some larger pictures. Joe what Crouching Zag(s) did you get? Close ups please. I promise not to ask you to trade them.
The MPC wasn't a SDCC score actually. Previously purchased at Pachi but never received it. Luke was kind was enough to bring it all the way from Japan.
Can we see a full pic of the cleanse the bacteria poster please? man that takes me back. awesome scores everyone.
nice scores everyone! i got some nice things also (although i alot of it is in the possession of joe.. thanks!)
Great photos! It reminds me of looking through the old Sears catalog at Xmas time as a kid...so overwhelming. Eye candy galore! @Joe: I totally forgot that Pop Soda was being sold at SDCC...very nice. The painted Hollis and the Pop Soda are now on my second-hand score list!
Sorry for the crappy iPhone picture . . . this shit hit my cabinets before I remembered to take a better one after landing back in the UK. Not all bought at the actual convention . . . some trade results and some old purchases being collected/dropped off (thanks Amy!). Too bad Pop Soda was situated ways down the hall from all the other toy retailers . . . it was mighty quiet down there most of the time!
Paul Kaiju popped my custom cherry! Nuthin' radical but Mr K hit the mark on the kaiju spray Frankenghost to fill a space on the shelf that would otherwise never get filled (Frankenghost is pretty much dead and buried with the introduction of the new improved body).
The Monster Parade figures are much smaller than I thought they were. I thought they'd be about the size of the Gargamel mid-size figures (Ojo, etc).
