Not sure if the guy that made this is a member or not but I was amazed by this tribute to my favorite line of 1970's toys.......

    So good.

These are very cool indeed, and I would definitely like to see more detail on them. One thing is, I would really like to know if these are poly or not. It is one thing to just make a giant toy and call it a tribute to the jumbo machinder/shogun line, but another to try and bring that amazing and fun classic aesthetic - even if it is cheap and of its time, that is what we love - to a toy. I also think these would have greatly benefitted from the application of more decals. The wings and eyes are just crying out to be printed. I mean, sure, it might make the overall toy more cheesy, but hey, that is what we grew up on. So basically, I think this is an utterly amazing and super fun toy, I would just love to run around playing with one and terrorising Godzilla, but a little bit extra with the design could have taken it to a whole other level.

He mentions it is a work in progress. Maybe I should have waited to post it but I love seeing start to finish in all aspects of creative process.

Also it would be styrene type hard plastic not poly if totally accurate to the last monster from the Mattel OG line aka Rodan.

    Until we see more.......

Ah, you're right of course John, must just be my own preferences showing through. ;) That makes sense. I never actually got a chance to handle the Rodan, but of course interpreting the post from this point of view/NA-centric - the target being more along the lines of the Shogun Warriors line (which included the Godzilla and Rodan), versus the Popy machinders (which just had the general polyethylene bodies).

Can only imagine the time spent on hand cutting the spray masks, with all those angles! Real great work altogether
