Personally, if I was an artist who made this shit and someone bought it at what I felt it was worth and then someone else wanted it more they'd pay more for it. Id be flattered that my work is worth more than I thought it was..

 

Um your statement would be true except I didn't flip anything I TRADED for something i really wanted and asked for, I dont know how many times I have to repeat this. So no offense but seriously quit with the flipping bullshit and me making a profit off of anything. And ill continue to support the artists that I like regardless of what anyone thinks. But thank you for your opinion.

David was actually the one person on this board, mind you, who I felt supported you or at least initially understood you and basically said that we all make mistakes.

You basically tried to flip a toy instantly, regretted it and apologized and said you'd make it right, then relisted out of some weird spite because you wanted a steak dinner.

I've backed off of rich's pieces forever as a personal decision but I'm not going to back off of other artists threads that i really do care about and personally am working on collecting. Especially because of other peoples problems. So how bout you guys all just drop it so we can move on. And also for the record instead of steak, I made manicotti and lobster on my own dime not from flipping toys. And I was damn good. Lol.

I have sculpted and had a few toys produced(nothing that fits on SB at all so i'll leave it at that). Quite awhile ago something released limited to 10 pieces in a certain color and ONE guy managed to snag every single one and started offering them at 5x the price. It was the first time that had ever happened to me. I didn't feel great because people were willing to shell out more money. I felt like shit that people who want what I make were getting hosed. I don't even make money off what I do. If I am lucky one toy will fund the supplies for the next. Prices are kept as low as possible so anyone can grab what I've done. It's not about money or even gaining a following since half of what I do I keep my name out of. It's about sharing something I made and enjoy with other people. What I ended up doing was getting that color released again instantly as a pre-order to shut down the flipper. Yeah it made the limited to 10 thing totally untrue but I didn't give a damn.

My toys are limited in number because supplies are expensive. Limited in color because making just one would be boring. Limited in price because I am a fan of toys and toy collectors more then a fan of steaks and lobsters.
