I think the reason is that it is a lot of extra work for me. I really want to do all the sales through the online store (the pre-sale is really annoying for me). Just taking care of the 10 or so pre-sale's for the Silver SkullBxBxBxA was a lot more work than I really have time for, but it did go smoothly.

I really dislike having only a stock of 5-20 figures (as I am sure you all do), I am trying to get more than 30 all the time, but it's so hard to get that many. One good thing was that Hiddy is pretty impressed with all the SB fans out there, so pressuring him for more stock seems to be getting easier.

I would like to do away with the pre-sale idea all together, but I have to use it for the moment (on the one Obake), because I really hate to have to tell 3-5 people that even though they paid they are not getting the toy and I have to refund them.

If I could just get more stock, I think there would be no more problems. But, we are still thinking of better ways to sell these.

No system is perfect. We appreciate all that you are doing Ryan.

However, there are tons of sites that use Paypal including S7. There has to be better safeguards to prevent overselling....

Isaac, any suggestions on how Ryan could rely on his online store, continue to use Paypal AND prevent overselling?

I actually talked to Isaac, and we use a different system (though we both use paypal). It's not exacty 100% a PayPal fault... it's also due to the way the shopping cart checks stock.... I am not much of a coder, so I have no clue how to program the shop to check for stock at the time I want it to.

What about a game of Trivial Pursuit to determine the winners!

I like this idea... it seems fair and reasonable

...so did anyone on this board score a silver bagman from shockerworldwide?

The easy thing to do would just to go over the list that was compiled for the Silver Bagman... offer them up to the winners of the Silver bagman in the same order in which they came in... Clearly, the same nuts would be up hitting refresh over and over and over again, so just save the time and internet bandwidth... ;)

Ryan, do whatever is easiest for you. In my opinion, there have been many good ideas and many dumb ones. You've gone above and beyond what you need to do to try to accomadate people on the various message boards. I don't see any of the other websites/stores/shops doing this much. Put it on the website store and let the people get what they can, which is more than what you obligated to do.

Bottom line...If some people don't get it from you, then they'll just have to get it somewhere else.
