its easy....... the skull its done right vs. 99% of western skulls, altho its fantasy having horns it really looks like a skeletal djinn where most western skulls look dumb & very forced hope to see versions pop out to match the silver, gid & greenslime companion
SnotBlower rules. Pus Rules. So many new Pushead scupts lately, I love it! I'm going to reminisce about the KVP for a sec: When the KVP first came out, it seemed mythical to me. I wondered if I'd ever see one in person before I bought it. So I flew to Japan and it was the only thing on my list I NEEDED to find. I overpaid at some place in harajuku but I couldn't have been more excited. I didn't even open it until I got back to the states so for all I know the box could have been full of rocks. The next year I would get my first Pus HP at SDCC. I think there may have been one Bronze companion for sale there that year and although I was there for a HP, I might have skipped to get the Bronze. I still think about Arin's colorful HP KVP that I think is the best one ever. Also Rhinomilk once bought like 10 green KVPs by accident while learning how JYA worked via celga. That still makes me chuckle. That's it. carry on Snot lovers.
I understand, but the man had his toy made in China.... Made in China and listing it as a Japanese toy is just all very strange imo. #pusconspiracy
Maybe you don't (want to?) get the point. Medicom Toys is probably the biggest toy company in Japan after Bandai. It's definitively not an indie one and only a small selection of its stuff is produced/assembled in the Japanese territory (Devilman, Tiger Mask, etc.). In my opinion that is not enough to tag this company as non-japanese. Anyway I think that you should remember who sculpted the toy before asking to move the topic on another place...we are not talking about Mr.What. We are talking about a TRUE legend...
Completely agree with you on the fact that Cosmo Liquid is a true legend.. Artist: Pushead, USA Sculptor: Cosmo Liquid, Japan Made in China That is one out of three. Just to little to make this a Japanese toy. Lets agree to disagree. Carry on.
As before... designed in USA, sculpted and conceived in Japan, manufactured in China. Two points for Japan... Sometimes I love math. Carry on.
If I recall, the bronze was as much or more than the HP's that year. I still have my receipt for mine, I think they were $510 or somewhere in that neighborhood.
What a great year! I met a lot of you assholes that year. I wrote a small article about my pushead line experience that year for the Super7 zine we did in 2008. I still remember the feeling of unrolling my scroll to find out there was that handful of copper pirates. PS- there small exceptions to all rules. Even though this was made in China, it's Medicom and Pushead. They get a pass. Toy history and pedigree offers little in this world and Medicom and Pushead get my respect. So far it seems the majority don't care. So this thread stays here.
