Surprised there is no mention of these toys anywhere on the forum. I think Sofvips is the manufacturer, and Electric Toys is the distributor, but sometimes online stores will use the two interchangeably.

Sofvips makes primarily licensed items, including Sonic, Chibi Maruko-chan, and Mega Man. For Mega Man, they have released Mega Man, Proto Man and Cut Man so far, with the first two in several color variations.

The quality overall is quite good, and the figures feel sort of Medicom-ish. Minor gripes with the eye design on Mega Man (the light blue highlight is sculpted and looks awkward) and the height of Cut Man (due to the body reuse- maybe he has gotten taller in recent iterations, but in my memory, Cut Man was supposed to be shorter than the other robots).

In my unrealistic hopes for the line, I would like to see them go through more of the robots from 2, 3, etc., and not just churn out variants of Mega Man and Proto Man. But some cool clear vinyl versions would not be unappreciated....

Nope. Def did not need to see this bc now I need to collect another line.

love the proportions. I used to have so many 90s 00s Keshi and sofubi Megaman stuff. Might be time to start anew with these.

i wouldn’t be against the whole X line getting this chibi sculpting as well.

I was absolutely obsessed with Mega Man for a good portion of my childhood and adolescent life. I've yet to get my hands on any of these but would love to add a few to my collection. I too would really like to see them pump out some more villains—2 and 3 did have some of the best—but I won't get my hopes up. I do think there's a good chance we could see some other recurring characters later down the line (Rush, Roll, Bass & Treble).

I've been really intrigued by more unconventional sculpts as of late. I'd love to have a little Wiley Castle in soft vinyl form.

Who wore that shield first, Mega Man or the Gelgoog?

Hah... I think Gundam predates Rockman by nearly a decade. The real question is who wore it better.

The answer is Char. Char wore it best.

But that's funny- I never thought about the shield in all these years. When I look at Proto Man now, there are some design parallels to Char- the shades, the trident design on his helmet. And, you know, red.
