I actually had a dream I was in a vast warehouse, like the one in the last scene of Raiders, and when I opened a crate, in it there were armies of RxH standing up in little rows, like that life-size terra-cotta Chinese Army they dug up. I assume some of these are from early (or even late!) editions of 20 or less, and have all long since found their ways into 'permanent' collections. I see RxH fans even noobier than me post here and ask "Where can I go to buy all of the old ones?" and think "I can remember the halcyon days when I also thought that there might be such a place." I do think it'd be great if there could be a re-release of some (or all) of the epic older paints though - doesn't seem it would be such a challenge to distinguish them from the originals (by paint or some change in the name molded under the foot - REAL HEAD 2 or something), so that a) the originals could retain their rarity but b) these great paints wouldn't be utterly hopeless fantasies for most of us. GOOD question! And, if Frank does use HOK colors, might that idea/resource 'backwash' into Mori's own RxH paint jobs? Can one use HOK paint on vinyl, or does it have to be a 'soft' paint like V-Color to avoid cracking? I know that automotive paint tech has developed amazingly over the last 10 years, in part to accommodate plastic bumpers and other flex-y bits, so that the paint can stretch and bend without chipping or cracking. (Although, now that I think about it, it would also be a cool paint to do that intentionally - I'd love to see RxH figures that looked like old porcelain, in all-white-craquelure - like this CC
they wont be HOK, since they dont have t hat in The Phillipines. I am probably going to use that ellow/green one as a start and add gold belt buckle skull and wristbands and do something to make the face more distinct, so it wont be an exact copy. also..I should have pix of the finished bigazzalons soon, as Rommel emailed me they are just starting to lay on the final clear-coats and the Bigazzes are suppossed to leave Manila within 10 days. If DSL air frieght is not to insane I will have them shipped to me that way , or maybe sea frieght, so Bigazz should be here within 5 weeks if all goes well.
If I can just say.... I think personally I would either like an EXACT repaint like an old fig OR a total new paint. For an official release I think it should be one or the other. The old figs like that yellow one are FLAWLESS the way they where made and if it where up to me I wouldn't want anything changed. And again like the majority here I vote for the red Also ... Come on Frank you can ship out some HOK flake. How hard would that be ?! Just think how bad ass heavy metallic HOK flake would be on these !
i'm with lash on not changing a classic colorway. i still like the blue w/ black, red & yellow spray evil the best ... but either way, if using an existing colorway that mori has done, i agree that it should stay pure. all that being said .. i most likely won't be able to afford one, so my input shouldn't matter too much.
you have to consider how it will look HUGE. red and blue wont look so good huge. trust me. that yellow green with some nice etallics..will look sweet in a large size.
Why not ??? Is there anything as an example ?? O yeah !!! Will it be articulated or will it be one single posed figure ?
Don't be babies. . . just let Frank stand or fall on his vision. Sometimes things really hit, like his last RxH figure. He may still change his mind, who knows? If you like this figure, that's the key. Everything else is up to, I guess, a higher power? higher power = frank KOZIK Anyway, I'm on any list when it's ready for this figure!
Well the yellow was my second choice . Regardless if its the yellow or the red or a brand new color I'm in. A 3 foot evil is gonna be madness no matter how you paint or don't paint it.
errrr... weren't we asked to make suggestions as to what colorways we'd like to see, how is participation being a baby?
A 3' Evil will look killer no matter which way you color it. Hell, even if Frank decided to do Jackson Pollack impersonation, I'd still rock one.
