I'm totally in love with this one. All fingers cross for you guys (and for me).
Just got my confirmation email. Very happy to snag this one. Hope some of you guys have been lucky too!
I just got the confirmation Email too! Very excited, this will be my first time winning a Godesu lottery
You will love it, it's a great figure. Please show off the magnet action when you get it!
Damn you guys...Well wait, I mean congrats!
Got the new Godesu today! Really cool to see the new magnet arm. Forgot to take a pic but new foot stamps too.
So good! I need to pay closer attention to when the lottos go live.
Not my deal but a killer production all around and a nice respect to the vintage side!
This is definitely my favorite version yet! I'm a sucker for the classic white eye/black pupil combo, gives the big fella a bit of cuteness and the new magnet arm is such a fun touch. I'm tempted to find some more small tin toys for him to play with.
Lennysan knocks it out of the park once again!
Originally believing this would be an homage to Baragon from initial teasers, Spectrum Lab hits us with a perfect tribute to the magnetic handed Ghostron. He really nailed the paints, as to be expected, but the form factor adopted from the Ghostron’s magnetic arm is spot on, but perfectly fitting the Godesu body. There isn’t a whole lot more that can be said that hasn’t already been stated. The Hawaiian Gomora paint is still my favorite, but hot damn this one’s a very close second. Havin’ the vintage tin cars are also an amazing playability addition to the omake, not to mention it came bagged and headered on its own. It always bugs me out in the best way how perfectly he brushes the eyes and teeth. The new header art emulating some vintage pachi headers is also a very welcome change to the presentation. And I love that he’s solely responsible for the artwork, just putting *that* much more of himself into every aspect of his releases.
Man, beautiful photos!! Such an awesome toy!
@grosspustule Thank you!!! Workin’ with orange based vinyl is pretty difficult to shoot, but adding some red sprays to the mix and I’ve got a full blown challenge. This is such a great release, though. Godesu is perfect in and of itself, but this Ghostron homage really just adds to the perfection.
just wanted to pop into this thread after a lackluster Tuesday and my day got better. Awesome stuff
I somehow completely missed Creature Bazaar’s post about their Gigara lottery closing, otherwise I’d have brought attention to this a couple days ago! Spectrum Lab unveils and holds both American and overseas lottos for the latest Gigara! Looks to be right in line with the Arstron Godesu, though the vinyl base looks a bit more lavender, as opposed to pink. I’m eager for CB, who hosted Lenny - San’s American lottery for this release, to announce winners. If you have Instagram Lenny - San posted a reel on his page of him layin’ down some blue sprays on a blank Gigara!
I'm meant to be a good boy and hold off for a few months, but I had to enter this release. Great paint. Sometimes I wish Lenny would leave the eyes without a pupil for one release, as it tends to make them look more menacing. But I know that might be too edgy for the style.
I was happy to wake up yesterday to find that I had scored the new Gigara (via the non CB lottery). I too wondered if this was a slightly different base vinyl to the similarly painted Godesu as it does look more purple than pink.
The Godesu is very pink, and quite a dark blue to boot. This looks closer to a flesh tone, truer to Earthron. That said the couple of big Spectrum Lab guys I have all turned out quite different in-hand, so let's see.
Good to see people here scored the new Gigara. I've also followed his ins for a while, really like his pachi style kaiju, but as a non-Japanese and non-American, I have still no idea how to enter his lotto, really wish I could get one before it turns out to be another HxS.
the lotteries Lenny runs directly (so not the Creature Bazaar ones) are open to international entries (I’m in the U.K. and enter them okay)
Yeah, when Lenny does the lottery himself, you just send an email.
Hell yeah, @Bob! Congrats on the lotto score! Always great to see ‘Brainers come up!
@zindabad I think the color differences via photo versus in hand are due to smartphone photos. Certain lighting conditions have a way of changing the temperature of shots and/or shifting colors because of lens correction. Especially when it comes to the dim studio lighting Lenny - San works in. The colors of this release initially gave me Muira Toy Gorugojira vibes! But then then stark reddish/hot pink spray in the chest took it to Arstron.
@Kirara Just to further echo and reiterate what’s already been stated prior, you’re good to enter Spectrum Labs lotteries via Lenny - San’s page every time!
Oh, I didn't realise that! And I am a little shy to dm the toymaker, haha.
Thank all you guys!
So who here got their Gigara invoices?!
I was awake at 4am Eastern when they sent them out
The silver eyes really pop on this release. Very excited to see it in-hand.
