Yep, I was joking about your hirsuteness. Clearly I didn't 'get' your jab back. There's a lot of sensitive little souls on this board lately, so I apologise for mistaking you for one of them. Anyway, congrats to you and everyone who scored one of these. The toy is awesome, and the bag and ball are possibly the best extras for a toy I've ever seen. Fun stuff, you can see the maker really loves sofubi.
Godesu is truly a lovely figure. I knew from when I first saw the prototypes I was in love with the sculpt and it's form factor. And Lenny seems to be a master of the airbrush; knowing when less is more, and using classic minimal palettes is a huge plus for me as well. I am glad I got lucky and happy I waited, as it makes it all the more special.
This last release has been my favorite so far, I prefer the pink base to blue or green... I put in for the lotto, but it wasn’t meant to be. I don’t have many of what could be considered “traditional” Kaiju in my collection, but this one would be a welcome addition. I will try for the next release if I like the colors and hope for the best.
Patience is a virtue! Absolutely thrilled to have a Godesu join the family after drooling over the first two versions. From online it was already a really lovely, well-executed toy and having one in hand exceeds my expectations. The packaging is a lovely touch, my fianceé wants to borrow the bag Does anyone know what the ball is in reference to? Chat doesn't seem quite as thrilled as I am...
Looks like the latest version is going to be sold again at Mandarake in Akihabara on December 14: https://www.mandarake.co.jp/dir/cco/toy/2019/11/03/1214-cocoo-open-spectrum-lab-3.html
That was not the impression I got from the post, but let us hope not. If it is, then this must be just a one-off. {And on that same note, let us also hope this as not a certain 'commission' piece.} I somehow have my fingers crossed for more of this batch, not just for myself (although there is that), but also to spite flippers attempting to cash in.
That post is just like any other Mandarake listing, not a special release through Mandarake.. Cocoo is a new sofubi-only location that is opening up
Not necessarily, Glenn, as they have vintage items as well. As I said, I interpreted it differently, but of course the translation could be a lot of things, and we probably won't know until the opening.
I have the same hope as @ultrakaiju. But I'd point out that they also carried the last Uzumark set, at specific location with an announcement like this, at aftermarket prices. And that was from Mandarake's own damn show
Not sure why that page is displaying in Japanese when you click on it, but if you go through Mandarake's front page when you are logged in, it will display in English: I took those fifth and sixth paragraphs to mean that Spectrum Lab was doing another run of these for the store opening, but maybe that's incorrect.
