Hey guys! One more exclusive. We're going to have a limited release of the BrainFreeze Spikewad released June 1st!
I have the of header art for this guy and NEED to score one to go with it. Looks like this is my chance I love this guy, as I love all of jeff's monsters. Plus I'm from Ohio, so it's good to see a Ohioan killing it in the toy scene. Jeff lamm rocks
The Brainfreeze Blue Spike-Wad is on sale now, with cheap US based shipping! link- http://www.nakamatoys.com/products/brainfreeze-spikewad I love baby blue vinyl! You may be seeing more of it....
Dude, Jeff you are my hero. Thanks for all the support, if you go to SDCC or come to Chicago I owe you a beverage, or cookie, or something. We're running low on the brainfreeze to, so if your on the fence, make it happen while you can!
Group of my toys from Unbox Industries on display at the Taipei Toy Fair, which is going on now until July 11th. Wish I could be there! Unbox has been amazing to work with.
thank U Ullar77. I think these guys already sold out...sorry of sad that I don't even know...just so busy all the time with the real job, family etc.
Answer to your query - "The Claw" Spikewad is a to be released GID vinyl variant. M5 Bravo & Stee-Gar are the "classic colorways", they were originally sold at RIVET but are an "open edition" They will be available for individual purchase via Unbox or possibly a US based distributor sometime soon. Best to sign up at Unbox Industries for sales info and future toy releases. We have some fun stuff planned!
Thanks for the info Jeff! Super psyched that these will be an open run. I'll go join the email list so I won't miss out on anything cool.
Colonial Spike Wad bust, available from Secret Fresh gallery, Manila, Philippines. Sculpted by Rommel Chau. Resin. I'm pretty psyched on how these came out, look classy!
HA! Wow... these are unexpected! Rommel did a great job... fun idea, well-executed! Reminds me of Colonial Garamon, Jeff!
Thanks guys. Thank goodness for talented sculptors- cuz I suck. This illo from a couple years ago was the inspiration: Even though Spike Wad originated in the last 15 years, apparently he had some colonial ancestors.....
those spike busts look awesome jeff! seeing that art of colonial spikewad reminds of your colonial garamon design that was available as a shirt on some site at one time ordered that thing like a year or two ago and never got it. obviously not your fault, just wish i had it because i love that design!
damn, that must've been mysoti, one of those print on demand places. I'll have to cancel my account with them, it was always sort of sketchy to begin with. sorry that happened to you.
My producer for Unbox toys mentioned flocking back when we were first planning these guys, I thought it would be cool. He sent me some sneak peek photos of a flocked Spike Wad, I'm really pleased with the results. I'm a huge fan of paint applications that remind me of cup cake frosting. He mentioned a flocking factory near his hometown in England, it would be awesome if these were flocked at the same place they did Action Mans! I don't know when they will be available.
