huzzah! evil left-wing scientists can once again be allowed to butcher fetuses. in all seriousness, it's about time. I have a very close family member who could greatly benefit from stem cell research, and the fact that the religious right could in any way justify any ban on the study of stem cells is beyond me. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/Politics/s ... 990&page=1
The religious can justify anything. They claim that they are being oppressed for their beliefs and everyone kowtows to them. Actually I shouldn't get started... But they really need to get a grip on their blind hatred for whoever doesn't suit their purposes... that said, if they did, we wouldn't have thousands of years of oppression to look back on (and forward to) fondly. Makes me sick. edit: Oh yeah! Good on Obama! Up the Stem Cell Researchers!
i guess i forgot to mention that an added benefit to the stem cell ban lift is that people will no longer have to suck the fluids directly from the fetuses.
That's blocked over here, but I assume you are directing me to the farcical episode mocking Dawkins. There is loads of truth is that, but I think you'l find that non belief is much less harmful than belief more often than not proves to be. Plus, I'm no fan of any kind of extremist, so eh. But I will point out that at least atheists don't prevent the world from benefiting from scientific advancements or extorting large amounts of money or certain death on the promise of mythical lands of angels and virgins. Roger, you know we're just gonna have endless fun going back and forth on this Years ago, I'd have said meet me at the Coach House and we'd have it out over gravy fries and coffee
Where's the fun in that? It's like drinking powdered iced tea mix instead of brewing it yourself. Wrong episode, it was the one PaulieVinyl referenced. Not sure what Dawkins has to do with stem cells, but I'm totally supportive of all types of stem cell research. Adult cells, fetal cells, whatever. Go for it!
