Who's going? Major Lazer is headlining, as well as SUBTRKT and Danny Tenaglia. I'm pretty stoked on this, I haven't been to DEMF in years.

Public Enemy will be great, as well as Carl Craig.

Nope, it really sucks but my wife had strep throat this weekend, and I ended up taking care of her. We had planned on going Monday, to catch Major Lazer, but she still had a bad fever come Monday morning, so we didn't get to go, I heard there was a turnout of over 100,000 people though.

    THIS^

But seriously the best thing about Movement, is their strict adherence to only showcasing artists that are up and coming, or artists like Danny Craig, that have been promoting the EDM scene, without worrying about it's impact on popular culture. For instance David Guetta asked to be part of movement this year, and was turned down, along with Skrillex, Deadmaus, etc. Skrillex played there last year before his short rise to fame.
The founders of the fest made a statement that they didn't want the type of crowd that artists like David Guetta would attract. That's A.Ok. in my book. I just wish I could have went. It was only a couple of hours away.

Todd Terje's tribute to Donna Summer sounded slick.

So my wife felt bad about us missing out on Major Lazer over memorial day, so she picked us up tickets to Electric Forest Festival. It's a weekend long fest, and the lineup looks great, music all day, and night.

So far I'm most pumped about Steve Aoki, Major Lazer, Das Racist, and Thievery Corporation, but String Cheese Incident and Girl Talk should be a lot of fun.

Basically the whole thing should be great. Is anyone else going?
