I definitely need to check Monster Worship more often. Kusogon is a really cool figure. Great job you guys. Will pay more attention to future releases.
Fig-lab had 3 exclusives on offer: - RxH : KAI-KYA Horror Show : Mummy Glove (fig-lab ver.) - Onell Design : Glyos : Buildman (fig-lab ver.) - Suckadelic : Mary Paper$ : Pandering to Japanese Tastes version. We also had the Japanese debut of Le Monstre Hero featuring an especially deadly black & white swirled Intergladiator
SkullStar, these are the Grand King sculpt by Marusan. Anyone know if these are GID??? If so, I may need to kill for them!
This looks an awful lot like it might belong with the 'Princess Street' Guiron that I've been chasing (in vain) ever since I didn't buy it my first week here. Can anybody confirm that it is (or is not), in fact, part of the same series? The assumption, of course, is that the Megalon shown is Marusan...:
that would be my favorites from the show as well. very sensitive use of colors working well with figures. bored of most new toys when checking skullbrain lately, but totally blown away by so many fresh new awesome stuff there - great fest!!! anyone have info on bright western looking yamanaya??? small animals (fish, elephant, etc.) please hit me up, would love to get me a bunch of those - thanks!!!
Congrats Data, ...you player. That table looked stocked with some goodies from east and west. Kind of like a really good fusion restaurant.
I may be wrong, but it was my understanding that the Princess Street Guiron was just a one-off exclusive, not so much a part of any line. That Megalon definitely looks like the Marusan sculpt, and my best guess that it's simply the latest in their line of recent-ish clear/translucent painted/iridescent tinsel-filled kaiju (they've done the classic King-Goji sculpt, Grand King, Varan, Titanosaurus, Baltan, Garamon...prolly some others I'm forgetting...).
Yeah, Sanjeev is right. The clear "France" Gorosaurus and Guiron by Princess St. were more or less a one-time collaboration by Marusan with that company. They also did an 'antique bronze' style Godzilla '54. Megalo and the other recent clears are from Marusan's "Crystal Kaiju Series," similarities notwithstanding.
Wow. What thorough and comprehensive answers to my questions. Amazing, amazing. Thank you very much, as I had no idea that 'Princess Street' was a reference to another company altogether. Stupid Fresh Meat.
Looks like Matt from Dead Presidents has one Sunguts figure left from the show (among other stuff). Interested parties should check his blog.
