Wow! My jaw is on the floor. I'm excited for the new venture, but sad to see the store in its current state closing. I'm guessing this means the 1 year anniversary party is off too. Congratulations to Scott and Lauren. You guys have brought so much joy into our city (and state for that matter) over the last 11 months. THANK YOU!!!
What now? I'm going to have to travel more than a couple miles to spend time with and see some of the most compelling art and artists and people I've had the fortunate opportunity of seeing over the past several years? So be it. In the meantime, we're going to have to take a page out of KFHC's book and plan some True South DIY events to keep the good times rolling. I'm grateful for the history/context gleaned, the people you've brought together, the friendships made, and all the art & toys I've had the opportunity to see, touch, feel, and procure. Thanks Scott & Lauren and the entire FLASK contingent. Looking forward to what's to come from the new endeavor! Ultra Pop in August Morikami Museum in October
Oh! So sorry to hear that! It's nice to have good kaiju shops around. Hopefully your new factory will crank out some awesome stuff! I wish you the best of luck in your new endeavor. Sucks that our solo show didn't work out, but maybe we can work together in the future OH! Before I forget, I think you have my mummy gator from the Monsters in the Mangroves show. If you could shoot that back to be it would be great! It was the sparkly one that was yellow with red spots.. THANKS, and GOOD LUCK!!!! D
Whoa - that was close. There's no way I would be sending that gorgeous Gator back. He's ALL MINE! Mine I tell you... See how happy he is?
I almost feel like a congrats is in order for Scott and Lauren. It sounds to me at least like this is being done out of a desire for growth in the community as well as the company. I'm very excited about the possibilities that will come from this. So congrats to both of you. Alittle clarification if you don't mind however. Will you still be releasing the S7 toys at your shop on release days or will we have to go through the SF for now until the new retail spot is open? Also will the store be moving or will you guys be in the same location just a smaller store front?
Its weird - I checked the site in the morning to confirm directions to the shop, and there was nothing up yet regarding the decision. When I got to the store in the afternoon, I heard the news in person. Fortunately, I was able to make that last visit. I'm sorry to hear that the store is closing, but I wish you guys congrats and the best of luck in this new endeavor. Glad to hear you're following your dreams.
Good luck with the new direction guys, the production facility sounds amazing. Can't wait to see the things that get pumped outta that place.
wow, i was hoping id be able to make it over there frequently in the near future so im sad to hear it wont be around, but this does sound really awesome and if it ends up having a gallery in the end that would be amazing. best of luck!
That's what it says. I'm very curious to know how they found it and how everything is going to play out. I was under the assumption that the creators out in japan kept everything very close to the chest.
I thought it had to do with the chemicals and the EPA or something like that. Isn't V-color illegal or something also?
No, it's only illegal to sell V. Even then it's really just a matter of what you can get away with until the Vampires find out you're dealing... wait a second, this isn't the True Blood thread.
