Scott referred to Gargamel as S7's "sister company." Is there some kind of a formal arrangement between the two?
I was waiting for you to pull out the penis munching condom toy or at least some Pushead. All in all it was pretty cool that they gave you a good bit of airtime.
Re: TV interview I felt I was super prepared for the shoot, and was looking forward to meeting up with the anchor beforehand to go over some things, but of course while the crew all arrived at 6:30 a.m., Charlie showed up at 7:02 for a 7:07 shoot. And he was like, OK what do we got here, some Godzillas, some crazy shit... Ok lets roll! So when I told him I wanted to talk about the figures and that I wanted to plug the big sal for local artists Kath Olivas and Brandt Peters, he ended up asking me on the air, "Now local artists painted this guy, right?" And so on the fly I had to say, well actually they were done in the same factory but were collabs, and so on and so forth. And I felt like my best segment was the first segment, which they didn't put online. If I have some time later, I'll post it. But it really was a lot of fun. Charlie was super funny, and Lauren was cracking up the whole time, as I could see her watching the broadcast live in the truck in front of the store. Really good times.
got job, i think you did very well, i remember my first tv interview with an old band and i pretty much froze
Great job, Scott - especially considering how hyper the host was. Geez, give the guy a chance to answer your questions, why-dont'cha.
good on-the-spot responses scott. nice to see you toeing the company line and employing the royal "we" supercool exposure, altho charley does seem ill prepared. he broadcasts that small city newscaster vibe- inflated ego, cheerful playfulness, projecting dominance over a subject he knows little about, etc. he is fantastic, i will watch more of charley's world
that was awesome! i want more news like that! it was cool that he was excited about the stuff and not standing there holding them with a funny look on his face. great job!
OK, either someone slipped me some acid this evening, or a lot has gone down in the year I kind of dropped off the map. Scott opened up S7 Florida? I mean I can't say it's all that surprising I guess, but still, whoa, weird and shit! Hahahah this is a riot, I can't wait to find out how much other weird crap has gone on int he last 12 months that I've missed out on. I can see it now: • alifeintoys officially decided Kaws sucks and has sold his whole collection -- "I decided that once I had the biggest Kaws collection in all of Europe, I needed to pursue something new, so now I collect only Dream Rocket" sez Fabian • toybot studios has grown sick of metallic blue and purple color schemes -- "aesthetically so NOT 2009" sez kirkland • brian is done with designing fight figures, and has decreed S7 will no longer produce any toys int his form factor -- "I realized I was just regurgitating memories from childhood of loving MUSCLE men, and wanting versions of such that were proportional to my larger size as an adult" • Pogue finds the idea of retro Japanese monster figures totally whack, and now only collects transforming mecha toys -- "I can't see what I ever felt was appealing about a dude combined with a tree -- and to think I spent a month's salary on this!" says Glenn hahah oh the coming days will be so much fun... heheheh
Hahahah my cashflow went missing that night!!! I think I should post the pics I have of you guys, I'm sure the board would get a kick out of it... HAHAH!
...hey mr. gold - ur youthful enthusiasm was missed much!!! lots of changes in one year ...hope u like lotteries!!!
