Great score LS! . . . . . . By the time I'd got through the Internal Server Errors I was the 63rd person to view the pics so knew it was a longshot at best!
hey folks, the images at the beginning of this thread have been updated with what is sold and still available. please feel free to email if you would like to go for seconds. im going to lunch, and will answer emails in order as soon as i get back. thanks!
For a while I was debating getting rid of my Death Phantom suit because I wasn't having any luck finding others like Toxic Phantom or Phantom 8 man, till today. Man I love these! Hope you scored something from your list liquidsky.
All is okay. I ended up with the Gold bagman that Andy was referencing earlier (hence the comment about sucking). I really don't need to open up another toy front and start collecting suits. Maybe next year.
It was quite limited and handled very fairly. One item per person allowed, in the order in which people lined up. After one "round" we were allowed a second picking, but I think most everyone only chose one thing from the lot table. Some of what is shown here was on the floor but not much ... most was reserved for online sales. Before the store opened we in line were asked what we wanted brought out ... the line hadn't finished forming yet. There was panic because nobody had known that this was how it was going to work, but I think everyone left happy. One nice thing that I didn't see in the Web offerings was a pink Hawaii Gargamel Zag (full size.) The M1 Hedorah (spectacular in person) was there, as was the blue Bigaro which yours truly snagged. I think there was one pirate, as well as some KvP Companions. It should be emphasized that it was very clear that the store tried to keep things fair for all, whether local, online, or at one of the distro stores. They are to be commended for that in a big way. If you're tempted to resent we "locals," bear in mind that we are now at a slight disadvantage because the toys are being spread around more fairly. Not everyone was able to snag what they wanted today, especially the new RxH stuff. Only two or three of the new green Bigaros were on the floor. Both it and the flesh Bero Bero sold out pretty quickly. To my surprise there were more of the bubble Mutant Head than anything else among the new RxH releases, although those too may have sold out. The Honeborg appeared to be the least popular, another surprise. I think there were still some left when I parted. The in-store yellow Chaos lottery was won by MarsWillRule. Congrats, man! The swap meet was a blast, highlight of the morning for me. Everyone was in good spirits, lots of great trades going down. I was fortunate to make out like a bandit. Among other cool things I'm very happy to finally own one of Mangakaben's Chaos Bunnies. I love it. Big thanks to all at Super7 who made this morning's fun possible and worked to keep it fair.
So what was the turnout like at TT Magic? Sounded like a low turnout from when I called. How about a rundown on the NYC festivities?
First I would like to thank god ....... I just want to know where the flesh oni ended up and if anyone grabbed him ?
