Okay, so granted it neither horror, nor sci-fi, but this movie deserves a shoutout of all kinds here. I will not say anything about the plot or in fact anything about the movie here; just go see it. I went in completely blind, had not heard a word of the film, or seen any trailers; I didn't even know what the synopsis was. And honestly, it was SO much the better for it. I loved it. I really do suggest avoiding any mention of it if possible, and just going out to see it if you can. I actually caught a short trailer last night, and it didn't capture the right tone or anything of the film, and really 'blew' a lot of the developments. In any case, some amazing performances, a really engrossing story, excellent style (and music!), and 140 minutes I have rarely spent in a cinema which went so quickly. So just take some random guy on the internet's word, and go watch this film. If nothing else it is a very entertaining way to spend an afternoon/evening.
I saw it. I liked it but felt it was trying a little too hard to be like a Tarantino film. Plenty of good scenes but some of the dialogue was too slow and made the movie drag a bit. Definitely entertaining like you mentioned however I never got the wow or ahah moment I was hoping for. I’d give the movie a B- Curious to see what others thought of it.
I found it to be a good watch. It had its flaws like most films, but i left the theater feeling fulfilled. I'd definitely suggest checking it out.
My expectations were high for this one. It was good, not great, but fun and entertaining. Took a few too many turns for me and I could have done without Spoiler: Ending : “the priest forgiveness scene.” at the end.
