im glad this thread turned into something cool. fun fact: my first show. UConn December 88 posted line up: Gorilla Biscuits Sick of it All Raw Deal Screeching Weasels Laughing Hyenas Sponge Tunnel 24-7 Spyz 24-7 Spyz cancelled and GB's station wagon apparently broke down on the way to the show.
schooled again...this is the song i was thinking of...damn! that is a crazy lineup...i don't even remember my first show...i'm old. even funnier...i was talking to a friend once and he reminded me of something and said "yeah...that happened at the show you guys played with sick of it all". i forgot we played with sick of it all.
my first show was nine inch nails and david bowie. my folks took me when I was about 12 or 13. I remember a guy 1 row in front of us who had wrapped his whole body in black electrical tape. throughout the show he slowly ripped the tape off while screaming at the top of his lungs.. he was a pretty hairy dude. there was also war vet guy in a wheelchair who kept trying to pass a teeny tiny little joint our way.. good times - my folks rule!
I saw that show in this area. I thought the best parts were when Bowie and NiN played together. Best "Scary Monsters" and "Touch" ever, but Bowie's "Outside" material pretty much sucked. Oh well, gotta respect the old boy for never quitting. I am so confused about the turn that this thread took. Is it a Thibo thread, a hate thread, or a music thread? How did it go from DIY-luv to "vermin?"
