"Onsale only at bambalandstore.com, for $55 usd, shipping is included in that price. Every $ made goes to a Japan quake relief charity ! there is a limit on how many we can make, so once they are gone, they.. gone ! So if your into helping a good cause and getting a damn cool bot, swing by at 9-00am Hong Kong time on the 29th of March" Come one, come all - Pls support the cause.
Im thinking small run size on them as the availability couldn't have been high to sell that many so quickly
The 3A Blog says they'll be donating around $30,000 from the sale, so at $55 a pop you can do the math. Over 500 pieces is probably still a pretty big run for 3A. The fans are ravenous.
I wonder if that number also includes the ones that were givin away to Japanese customers from previous orders? Either way, that's a crazy amount to sell out that quick.
I might be wrong, but I think 3a are fairly unique in being "big" in NA, Europe, HK / Taiwan and Japan... Can't think of many other toys that are.
Your not kidding there. It's understandable though, how many artist can drop names like Tank Girl, Spawn and Metal Gear. That's not even including his own stuff. I would figure Pushead might enjoy similar popularity around the world, I mean what countries kids don't like metal and skateboards? Not sure how that translates into toy sales except I still don't have a Siamese captain.
3A did a good gesture in donating to the relief funds for Japan. Many people are into 3A, even Pushead is a big fan.
If you have ordered previously from Bambaland, you may be in luck: "3A is going to send special WWRp Armstrong 1G toy to all previous Japanese customers for free".
Unfortunately I never knew threeA existed till I saw pics of the JDF Dropcloth set after Wonderderfest, so I'm not a "previous customer". If things are gonna go that fast I never will be either!
What are the heavy brambles like? im contemplating picking up the African defense force one, they look like behemoths haha
They are pretty awesome, the arm joints are a little loose at least on the 3 I have. That may be fixed since these are just now in production.
You will be lucky to even find any at the moment. Think the goodsmile preorder ones from the website go out this month so you may be in luck.
Anyone who scored on the TK Baka lads...........they finally ship this week!!!!! One of the best in my book. Especially the 3AA version.
I dunno. For all that the JDF colorway was bound to grab people's attention here (it certainly grabbed mine) I don't think it's the best colorway they've done, & on the whole I'm not too pissed to have missed them. Take a look around at some of the others (Inb4 "preaching to the converted".) I love the details: "Cold Heart" on the Mr. Frostys for example. The Berties are awesome too, & they come with the mini-squares! Loving this guy: derp.
Yeah alice he's sweet but its a pain in the arse when you only collect WWR not the smaller bots i would spend way too much with both!! who's excited for the grunts anyway? i cant wait Also i find the DC in the white or black really bring out the sculpt much like an unpainted in kaiju terms
