One of a series of kaiju-themed cards (approx. 3" x 6") planned for random distribution at the show.

Those are pretty cool. How many different versions did you do?

Thanks! I have 5 done so far. Having fun with them so will likely do some more. I am creating them at high resolution in small poster size (about 14 x 28), so they can be printed either large or shrunk down for the cards. Kirby did the font work for the original show flyer. I am just adding the photos up top.

Well I really like the concept. Sort of like glorified flash cards. If a set of these happen to be hanging around after the TK2 opening I would love one. ;)

Easier said than done! I sort of blew my wad at SDCC this year. Believe me, if I had the funds I would go to S7FL opening, then to Chicago for TK2, then the Japan trip. You guys are going to have a great time at TK2. I'm weeping over some of the exclusives being released at the event.

Geo will all the post cards be pics of Anraku figures, or will some be actual pics of pieces that are in the event by other artists ?

And if you can save me a set :)

Only a couple are Anraku pics, the rest are other assorted kaiju shots. No pics of actual pieces from this year's event (they aren't even all unpacked yet), but those could show up for the next show.

Not sure how Kirby is going to handle distributing the cards, but that will be up to him. I have had many requests for these things, and they may be in short supply depending on how they get allocated. Accordingly, I am not in a position to make promises to anybody at this point. The BEST way to get you hands on them will be to go to the show, of course, which is part of the reason why they are being created. (Sorry to hear that you may have had to cancel your plans to come out, per Kirby.)

Yeah it sucks, but being out of work for 9 months and counting is really starting to get a bit much. I was awaiting payment for a job but that never came in. And now when it does it will go to keeping the lights on.

Anyways, thanks for the reply Geo, and I hope to somehow land some of these wonderful post cards !

Thanks! There are about 25 cards so far. I am pretty happy with how they are turning out. The final method of distributing these is still being decided... Please introduce yourself to me at the show.

There are now 30 cards. The current plan (subject to change and Kirby's final approval) is to give one card (randomly selected) with each purchase at Rotofugi. Each card will come packaged in cellophane to protect them until you get them safely home.

The rest of the cards will also be available for purchase for a nominal amount.

Folks will also be able to order a full set of all 30 cards or a mini-poster of a card of their choice - these would be printed on demand and mailed. Finally, there will be an option to order a larger hi-res poster version of any card for download.

Hey Geo, I LOVE the idea of a hi -res poster of the image of choice. I would however like to see the show title and info along with all the participating artist listed as well instead of just the store address and info of the toy pictured.

It would be a great piece for me to frame of a show that I was listed in. Just a thought but not and not a deal breaker.

    Just a thought.

O and if you took a pic of the red drunk boy, and I'm betting you did, you can already list me for a hi res print right now. ;)

That's a great idea about the text on the poster, listing the participating artists! I will confer with Kirby on it... I personally don't see any reason why it can't be done.

And yes, I will have some pics of the drunk boy at some point soon. I didn't do anything but snap some pics for the record of any of the 3 Anraku pieces before I dropped them off at Roto, so will be needing to spend a little bit more quality time with them later.
