Yeah, they should also outlaw anything combustible, considering that people use to use smoke signals to communicate and coordinate events. And didn't Egypt take down their entire internet? That worked well, didn't it?
The Antics Roadshow Banksy's 'incomplete guide to total anarchy' provides a greatest hits of wayward behaviour, sedition and sabotage http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-antics-roadshow An hour-long special made by Banksy charting the history of behaving badly in public, from anarchists and activists to attention seeking eccentrics. Contributors include Michael Fagan talking about breaking into the Queen's bedroom: 'I looked into her eyes, they were dark'; and Noel Godin, who pioneered attacking celebrities with custard pies: 'Instead of a bullet I give them a cake'. Explaining his reasoning behind the show, Banksy said: 'Basically I just thought it was a good name for a TV programme and I've been working back from there'. Narrated by Kathy Burke and produced by Jamie D'cruz, The Antics Roadshow examines the stories behind some of the most audacious stunts of recent times and what motivates the perpetrators, from mindless boredom to heartfelt political beliefs. It includes a world exclusive first interview with the man responsible for putting the turf Mohican on Winston Churchill's head. Next on Channel 4 Sat 13 Aug, 10.45PM
An 11-year-old girl? Who posted on Facebook? Is swarmed by cops? Really? This is some thin-end-of-the-wedge nonsense here. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/cr ... 36477.html
First of all the reaction by the Government to these riots has been absolutely mental and beyond comprehension. The Police and the Government are currently arguing over who actually decided to put 16k police on the streets of London. I suspect that the police made that choice since it took several days for either the mayor of London or the PM to come back from fucking holiday. Kicking down the doors and evicting looters is madness, giving some one a 6 month sentence for stealing £3.50 case of water is absurd. But this is the British Government and they are so disassociated from the people that they govern that its fairly typical. Well we kind of do... Spain, Greece, the Middle East. Obviously these are completely different from the, frankly baffling phenomenon of post win rioting that goes on in North America. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zmo8DG1gno4 This guy sums it all up perfectly. Rioting may not be the answer, but nobody has managed to actually inquire as to what the question was in the first place. They are just filling in their gaps in understanding and throwing a blanket over the situation in hopes that it will go away.
