vintage japanese vinyl caveman & joke dolls?

i am looking for this doll but i have a few others from the same company. will snap some pics today to add to the thread. anyone know anything about these or the company who made them?

these are called Herman dolls, and i come accross these from time to time, incuding a full store display of them. I remember selling something to Coop and putting one of these in box as an extra.

 

kind of reminds me of this a bit.

 

i think the Herman dolls came a bit later from hong kong by larami- who was a major player in cheap junk toys. thanks for sharing your info. i will snap a few pics of the ones i got.. they are marked made in japan

i wondered if maybe the early ones were
