I was watching Pretty in Pink with my wife, and I saw this. Banila from Ultraman. Bandai medium, 1984.
Perfect spot, Daniel. Have never seen this film, but definitely comes as a surprise to see a beautiful Bandai Banila bombing this scene.

Just remembering this… In around 2018, only a block away from my apartment in SF, I was walking down Clement St. and noticed something that blew my mind. It was a 4’ tall painted Boss Carrion occupying what was otherwise a pretty empty storefront. I learned a bit later that this was the first location of Kozik’s brick and mortar in SF, but at the time I was completely at a loss.
