I work as an assistant at an academic library full-time, do the grunt work part-time at a public one, give drum lessons here and there, and I'm doing a little dabbling in illustrating right now. not enough time in the day...! I've been in "zombie-mode" for too long.
I'm a Mgr for a Food Service distributor here in the great Tarheel state of N.C. ... Been doing this shit for 22yrs...It's time for a break!
I'm doing swiftlet birdnest business, I build houses for the bird and harvest the nest to sell. Only few country consume it, mostly asia region. 95% market is in china..............
that is some slick stuff, I have seen TV specials on collecting them from cave mouths, awsome you do it in a eco-friendly manner
I think you may have won the prize for most unusual job. I had no idea that birds could even make nests out of saliva. Crazy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird%27s_nest_soup
Interesting thread. I've been a Mr Mom for the past 4 years. Most challenging and rewarding job I've had. Before that I ran a non-profit residential/farm based program for young adults with mental illness and/or mental retardation.
I've always admired people that work in such fields, that takes some serious dedication to duty. Lately there have been massive state and federal cuts to programs for the mentally ill. I think Ohio cut funding by 50%.
I do retail, cpu repair and party clowning and since flickr is being dick here is a link http://www.flickr.com/photos/47770828@N07/4503338535/
I am familiar with Funhouse, both our shops are in the Pacific Beach area. I do not know Seth personally but have met some artists that work for him. By the way Lamour Supreme, I dig your work.
I'm also a "Mr. Mom" going on 2 years, have one to go(toughest job yet). In the meantime I'm a tattoo apprentice two days a week at the same shop my wife pierces at. I occasionally sell shirts with monsters on them that I created(cultsavage.com). Before that I toured the world in a couple bands, one a crazy mosh band called Remembering Never(I don't even listen to stuff like it, but touring was awesome) and another slightly less mosh band called Bishop both from South Florida. I currently live in Indianapolis and hate it.
